O'Brien's is an Irish Pub in Santa Monica. Parking is a pain, but once you find something you are set. Mind the signs on the street. There is outdoor seating and it is great to just watch all the people traffic walking by, going to shops and other eatery's. The have TVs inside for game day if you like. They... More

We stopped in to watch a game and had a good time. The food was okay but kind of wish we only got an app and went somewhere else for dinner. We tried the Quesadillas, wings, and nachos. All okay. I tried one of their guinness floats, the Chimay O’Brien - Chimay topped off with Guinness. It was interesting. I... More

We were headed to Santa Monica for a weeklong girls trip - arrived late and O'Brien's was a few short blocks away - open late! It was easy parking, great service, amazing food, lively patrons - and clean restrooms! Excellent experience! It was so great that we came back a few nights later - and again we were not disappointed!

It was a great busy bar with lots of televisions to watch the game. Service was great even though they were busy. Only issue was the place was reality warm with no air flow. Otherwise it was good. Food was good. Typical bar food. The potato skins were very good.

My husband drive by one day so he thought he would like to try this place open since February 2016. He felt it was just MEH. I don't know maybe because he's British and likes his cod breaded lighter than what was served. He felt the beer's were mediocre , maybe if they brewed their own beer they could get... More

Menu seems varied. Crowds go here to drink. There may be authentic Irish food, yet it's noisy and really is a bar.

November 2014 came on a Saturday night, it was heaving and fun. November 2015 was a slow Sunday. But the two bands were great, happy hour between 10pm and midnight meant beers and buffalo wings for five bucks. The place itself isn't amazing, but the stars are for the atmosphere and memories.

I frequently stop in at this place and consider it to be my "local". They serve tasty fare and I particularly recommend their turkey burger and veggie burger. The service is good and the staff are very friendly. Nothing too fancy in terms of their cuisine but tasty simple pub grub in a nice setting.
