A charming space in a downtown location. Easy parking. Good food, reminiscent of New Orleans. Friendly service. Love those big, powdered sugar, beignets!

Had the fried chicken our wait person plugged for the night. It wasn't amazing, just OK. Side of greens were good.

We chose this spot for lunch because dogs are welcome on the fully shaded patio seating. Very friendly staff. Menu is quite interesting. Food was good, although the French fries were too salty. Service was a little slow and they forgot to serve one dish without the onions, as had been requested. I couldn't resist trying the key lime pie...but... More

We had a wonderful double family date night there a few weeks ago with another couple and their kids. The place was packed and super busy so service was a little slow, which is always hard when you have small children. The food was amazing!!! I loved it all! Definitely will return!

From the food to the ambiance to the service this was just a fully pleasant experience. First, the food was great, everyone had something different and all said their meals were fantastic. The spice level is high (even for a heat seeker) on some of the really traditional dishes, so, be prepared. Not too hot but borderline. The starters were... More

Go for the gumbo! This place has the best authentic New Orleans style cuisine anywhere west of Louisiana!! Where else can you get Okra and Ambiance like downtown Santa Paula.

We spotted Rabalais while looking for coffee while staying in the hotel around the corner. While we waited for our coffees and perused the menu, we decided to stay for lunch. The first day we had salads, with fantastic dressings and blackened chicken followed by sweet potato bread pudding! I am a sucker for some bread pudding, and this stood... More

This was my first time to Rabalais and it did not disappoint. We went for Sunday brunch and started with mimosas and beignets! Yum and yum! I then got the fried green tomatoes with eggs and grits. While the grits, which I usually love, weren't my cup of tea I loved the tomatoes and eggs. So delicious. Our whole party... More
