My husband and I came with another couple, and I wasn't very Impressed. I got the stir fry vegetables. I did think they were cooked nicely, and the rice had a nice texture, but it lacked flavor for me. My husband got the lemongrass chicken, and he was happy with it. I just felt it was nondescript and overpriced. Wouldn't... More

Absolutely superb! Jia Tella's was recommended by our Aunt who lives in Santa Cruz. Of course, we immediately looked up the establishment on Yelp to see what we could expect. I was glad to read all of the FANTASTIC reviews! I took everyone's suggestions and tried the Tamarind Noodles. Everyone was right, they were AMAZING! This is a perfect example... More

I love coming to this restaurant, staff is very friendly, food is excellent, good portions and very healthy. If you are under the weather or feeling really sick, I would recommend the lemongrass soup... it will bring you back to life!!! It did it to me the first time I went there!

Jia Tella's serves the best and healthiest food in all of Santa Cruz County! Family owned and 'manned', Jason and his kids take great pride in the quality of their food. And don't miss the co-owned sports bar 'Next Door', also the best around!

I have been to Jia Tella's a number of times over the years. The food is usually good and they have a nice patio for outside dining. However, the service is consistently poor. Last night it took over 30 minutes to get a glass of wine(after we had to remind her) and over 1 hour to get our dinner(it came... More

This is one of those places that although it has its good points, never seems to hit on all cylinders. The "dining room" is a bit of a barn, and can be quite noisy even when not crowded. Service is minimal, often brusque, and the kitchen is usually slow. The food is uneven -- some dishes can be quite satisfying,... More

Nice to sit outside. Service a little unpredictable, food usually very good. A little pricey for what you get but overall fun & tasty.

A group of colleagues met at Jia Tella's for lunch on Sunday. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with chicken. Lots of flavor and heaping portions. The service was good also. Everyone in the group (6) was very pleased. It's set back in the corner of a shopping center so you have to look for it.

Great food. The children's chicken meal could have been more tender. Their fried chicken wings were too fried, kinda jerky-ish and tough. The guy waiter there was ok, but you can tell he didn't love his job. After just one question, he was already showing signs of irritableness. Dining room is casual. Go for the food experience, not the dining... More

Jia Tella's is hard to dislike. The food is yummy. We love the Cambodian salad, the BBQ meats, and are addicted to the Chicken Curry. Add the Mango sweet rice dessert and it's awesome. Seating is comfortable with inside and outside choices. Service is pretty fast, but it's not fast food! It's good food. It's a relaxed atmosphere but still... More
