Food -- 3 stars Policy - 1 star Okay, I've settled down a little since I left a one-star review on Open Table. Two stars is a truer reflection of the experience. Here goes: Ambience is nice -- we ate outside. There was a large party inside, and they did get noisy (we could hear them outside), so I'm glad... More

Often times when you have a type of food you've never had before, you look at the menu and it looks alien. Not so with this restaurant. The food - mostly seafood - was excellent and recognizable on the whole with nice touches of Portuguese food. Our favs were the fishermen stew and the seabass. The only thing to keep... More

While the setting and aromas seem to promise a nice dinner, the lack of service kept the experience from as good as it might have been. The Portuguese menu and small plates provided and interesting selections, but the wait for our drinks, food and just about everything else detracted the quality of the meal.

This restaurant is the main reason that we go to Sonoma. The food is Portuguese style. I am not Portuguese but I love the food.

We didn't have a reservation, but they sat my wife and I at the bar and we had a great meal. I had some kind of whole roasted fish (sitting at the bar you can see the chef cook it) and my wife had pork with figs. Both dishes were delicious.

I LOVE this restaurant! I found it by accident when I was booking a reservation to meet my girlfriend who lives in Santa Rosa. We decided this would be a great half way point to meet up! It is a very small restaurant, tucked away in the back of the Sonoma Square! Parking was a little tricky because we ended... More

Warm and inviting space, with pretty dishes! I had the stuffed pork loin, which was prettier than it tasted - it was dry, and I couldn't really taste the stuffing. My hubby had the sea bass en papillon special, which was fabulous! We ended with the Chocolate Fetish - totally worth the calories.

Good food, relaxed environment. $4 charge for sharing plates was a bit off. Salted sturgeon was excellent.

We had never eaten Portugese food before but everyone said we needed to try this restaurant on our trip to a Sonoma. Taking them up on their recommendation, we got a reservation for a tavle on the patio and was extremely pleased with everything. The patio had such a sweet feel about it and the service was outstanding. We ordered... More

1rst time enjoying the restaurant and this type of food. We were impressed. A very nice decore and inviting outside patio. A friendly greeting at the door an an excellent wait staff. The real star is the food. To start I had the cold tomato gazpacho soup. This was to die for! My wife had a very nice salad. I... More

Description
Fresh, Inventive Mediterranean and Iberian Cuisine in the heart of the Sonoma Valley Wine Country.

Seafood and Portuguese Cuisine are our specialties. We offer a unique variety of fresh local and imported seafood specials daily including whole fish. The seafood selections on our menu are complimented by a variety of meat dishes ranging from the popular Pork Tenderloin stuffed with almonds, olives and figs to the, hard to find, Tripe Porto Style. Many of these dishes come steaming hot out of the wood-burning oven and fill the dining room with the exotic aromas of true Mediterranean cuisine. The menu reflects the commitment of Chef and Owner Manuel Azevedo to creating the unique culinary delights of his native Portugal and its neighbors. LaSalette Restaurant is proudly one of Zagat Surveys top rated restaurants in Sonoma. See our web site for the complete menu and a look inside our dining room, which features an open kitchen and decor that sends you back in time to old Lisbon.
