It was a great night to sit in front of the fireplace next to another nice couple. The service is genuine and gentle. The food was tasty and enjoyable. We split the ribeye steak after having two different salads. Great to have this historic landmark...More

Food never disappoints. Freshest of fish, pasta and please safe room for the yummy deserts. There is an inside room with fireplace for additional atmosphere.

This gem is located on a side street, about 2 blocks right off the main "Square" in downtown Sonoma. Quaint interior in an old historic building with a water feature in the outdoor patio area! The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Great friendly staff....More

They were truly lovely at our dinner tonight! Food was excellent (I had veal parmigiana and my husband the tortellini) and a great price. The ambiance with the lights outside was beautiful and service great. I would definitely come back again and again!

We've been on the road for 2 weeks and eating in various restaurants the entire time. Without a doubt, this is the BEST restaurant we have experienced the entire trip. The setting around the pool and patio is exceptionally pleasant and the food was top...More

A local 2nd generation family run restaurant with great food in an old inn setting. Excellent Italian and California cuisine. Try the pizza Napolitano. Good local wine list and moderate prices. Great service by long time dedicated staff.

Great local wines along with salads and pasta dishes on a pretty patio make for a pleasant dinner. I dropped the fifth star due to a persistent wasp surrounding our table, but other than that annoyance the place was filled with elegantly dressed patrons enjoying...More

Wish I could answer but I'm in VA and the Depot is in CA--give them a call!
We would be a party of 8 and will be a surprise for my husband because his siblings are flying in to surprise him for his 60th birthday. Would like to meet for lunch on Saturday, 7/30 earlyish, around 11:45 am? Siblings would have to arrive by 11:30 to be seated when we enter. Please let me know if that could work for you? Tricia

The DEPOT HOTEL RESTAURANT is a charming neighborhood restaurant located in an historic stone building just a block off the Plaza in Sonoma. Locals and visitors to the Wine Country enjoy casual Tuscan-inspired cuisine in the Vinoteca, in the cozy dining rooms, and on the terraces surrounding the shady Italian garden and reflection pool. Food is a passion at the DEPOT HOTEL RESTAURANT for the father and son Chef team--whether it is making house-made antipasti, or handmade pasta, or fresh ricotta. In addition to products made in-house, the Sonoma wine country around us offers an abundance of new artisanal products. The search for the best local products is a treasure hunt both chefs enjoy--whether from the coast, local farms, or local cheese makers. Come join us for a trattoria-style lunch or dinner...or just drop into our Vinoteca for informal small plates of antipasti and a glass of wine. Our focus is casual Italian comfort food--served in an informal Sonoma wine country atmosphere.
