I love Jamaican food and so we went to their new location in Stockton on Pershing. The Jerk Chicken was so good but unfortunately it was also unbearably hot. I know Scotch Bonnet peppers will take your head off and I wish they could make a more moderate version of Jerk Chicken without so much heat. I really want to... More

It's all about the food-and this place has some wonderful authentic delicious food!!! I am from the Caribbean & most restaurants think if you put a fried banana on a plate that will make it Caribbean food...no not true! The Caribbean is a a melting pot with complex cuisine...Spanish, French, African, Indian, Dutch, Portuguese, influences. The Breadfruit Tree is Caribbean... More

We had the whole restaurant to ourselves for a birthday lunch. All of my guests raved about the food and the service. I had left the food selection up to Louis, the owner, and he chose well - seafood peleau, pork loin tender enough to cut with a fork, and coq au vin, also tender and delicious. The food was... More

The restaurant is very casual, which matches the Jamaican theme and fits with it being on the river. There were not any menus, but rather an eraser board with the listed dinners. The restaurant seats about 40 people inside, but there is outside seating too. The service was just "OK." Nothing bad, but it could have been better. The restaurant... More

Went with my family & the food was amazing great flavor. Will defiantly go back. The staff was on top of it explained the menu & even the owner came out to ask if everything was ok very nice guy. I traveled 100 mile to go try this place & will go back. Go try this place.

First of all , don't review this restaurant based on raggae on the Delta. This restaurant is the best combination of spices I have had other than the Caribbean. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. I told the owner and chef, cook my Jerk Chicken like you were making it for yourself, unbelievable. The curry chicken is also wonderful.

Must have to say how poorly planned the Reggaee event was! Was this the first year of this event to not know what to expect hum, I don't think so. So if this event has been done before why was it such a mess? Not enough food because they ran out, and the folks selling the tickets giving you wrong... More

The Breadfruit Tree is a great place-over all. The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is wonderful. The food is authentic and flavorful and you really feel like you're dining on a Caribbean island. 5/5. You MUST go there.

The Breadfruit Tree Restaurant in Stockton is a little remote to get to located at Paradise Point boat launch area. Get off I-5 and head West on Eight Mile road passing the Trinity Pkwy Shopping Center, the many Spanos communities, finally turning left (south) on Rio Blanco Road just before the King Island bridge. We just love the interior paint... More

You will not find this kind of food anywhere. From the pilau to the patties, and home made sangria, such fun. Get there early as the fill up quick, and you even have access from you boat on the delta. Not a fancy atmosphere and reasonably priced. Try it to get a wonderful taste of a culturally different food that... More
