Somehow, over the intervening distance between Philadelphia and the South Bay, what constitutes a cheesesteak has been butchered into essentially 'steak' chopped so finely it is better known as hamburger, grilled with spices and placed in a bun with mayo and or mustard. What an abomination...a true gastronomic disaster. The good folks at Geno's or Pat's (if you have been... More

I had the best Philly Cheese Steak here. It's awesome-sauce. Their steak is amazing, so awesome! I've tried the Classic, the Pizza and the Mexicana variety. All were great. My favorite has to be the Classic due to the perfect balance of meat, veg and gooey cheese.

I've had a lot of Philly's in my life -- this was was meh. It was hot and all, nice melty cheese -- but the BUN! That is a KEY KEY ingredient -- and this was like a so-so hoagie bun. Nothing close to a real Amaroso bun -- and it wasn't "crunchy" fresh .. The service was good and... More

Been a regular customer since 2005. Quantity of steak in the sandwich has been cut by 30%, bun is much smaller - beauty of life, the prices are way up. Had a s'wich, with curly fries and a coke - paid $15. Will just go down to Santana Row for a nice lunch next time. The lines from earlier days... More

At at Steven's during lunch one day on a business trip to Santa Clara. Food was quite good (I had the chicken cheesesteak with fries and would get it again), and service was quick. There's indoor and outdoor seating, despite being in a strip mall. Parking was not a problem either. About 5 minutes drive from the Santa Clara convention... More

A coworker took me here for lunch. I ordered Steven's Favorite, which was perfect. The sandwich was a good portion, and was juicy (unlike other places that serve cheese steak). Wasn't too busy at lunch. Seating inside and in the back.

Had the Steven's Favorite. The steak was good with all the toppings. Cheese so hot it will burn your mouth if your not careful. I just stuffed myself but my mouth is watering thinking about it again. Garlic fries are dripping with garlic. Curly fries are crunchier. Yelp gives this place short shrift. I did several searches, but the bigger... More

I saw a recommendation for the onion rings so I got those along with my sandwich and I have to say that's where I was really impressed. The location is also convenient and the staff was nice. Seemed like a family run spot, they even offer a "frequent diner" card.

I have lunch here about every time I'm in San Jose for work, which is 1-2 times a month. Mouth watering cheese steak.
