This place had the best clam chowder we have ever had. Served in sourdough bread bowls. We also tried their fish and chips...also very good. They have a nice little gift shop as well for souvenirs.

$20 may seem like a lot to spend on a sandwich but, trust me, you will be so glad you did. We ate here twice during our week in the area. Great service and amazing chowder!

Greetings, jyoungblood226.... Fresh Crab has is the culinary equivalent to precious metals - market driven based on availability from the fisheries. That said, we're so stoked that you recognized what a difference it makes not to skimp on the ingredients and found the cost relative to value. This place was very expensive for a cafe. WE shared fish and chips and had one cup of clam chowder, tea and a coffee. Our bill was over 30 dollars. Our fish had so much batter it looked like a huge piece of fish, but most of it was batter and it was undercooked. Chowder was luke warm and we... More

Hi, Sally J... Please know that our fish is hand cut, hand battered and comes in at, or over, 8-ounces per serving. Our clam chowder is also made fresh each day and we usually sell out due to the popularity of both entrees. Fresh is best, and fresh ain't cheap. It is totally unacceptable to receive an entree that is... More

Great food and choices; we love it for breakfast. Close to the walking areas and Trinidad Lighthouse, so great place to start or end your day in Trinidad. Don't miss the fudge for sale at the cashier counter on the way out!

Stopped by for dinner yesterday. The place is not fancy but the food was really modern and good. I had pan-seared halibut with a citrus honey siraccha coulis, coconut Israeli couscous, and broccolini with a shallot pan sauce. The wine list ls pretty short if you just want a glass but you can bring your own wine for a $12... More

Sunday evening may not be the best time to visit this diner. It is a diner and nothing more. Friendly staff, clean tables but the place had a slightly unpleasant food smell that we noticed when walking in. Ordered beers, no glasses available but not a big deal, wanted fish and chips but no fish, tried for the chowder in... More

You gave us a great shot at ordering two of our most popular entrees and I am very sorry you didn't get the pleasure of either. Abundant apologies... More

Great meal! Went to this restaurant twice in 3 days. All homemade food. Great menu, lots to choose from for kids and adults alike. Clean and excellent service. No nonsense, old-school, super friendly place with great food. When 3 out of 4 of your sons decides that they now love eggs benedict, you've hit gold. Excellent clam chowder bread bowl! What I loved about the bread bowl is that is was crispy on the outside, the top slice of the bowl was also toasted, as well as the top of the bread section that was removed.
