We have not been back here since Covid started. Got their fantastic spinach salad (it’s not on the menu-you have to request it). Along with their Capillini D’Angelo, and their fabulous homemade crunchy bread. Andrea did a great job preparing our to go food. It...was 6 PM on Thursday night and their place was packed-my only criticism was that tables and booths were side by side with no dividers, and no social distancing-shame on them. I would never eat in there after what I saw.More
We love coming to Ciao every month for pizza or lasagna with a great glass of wine 🍷. The building is gorgeous 😍 with the new additional. The service is always 👌 efficient and feels like a family 👪 affair. A family owned business. There's...patio seating and separate dining rooms for parties or special occasions. You can sit at the bar. Theres also Gelato bar. Or order to go. The pizza is 👏!More
Phenomenal Italian food! I have friends in Orange County and LA who drive down just to eat at Caio. Exceptional service staff and combined with the excellent food, a MUST....Simply THE BEST Italian Food in North County possibly ALL of San Diego County!!!
Went for dinner. No smell of wonderful Italian foods. Bad sign! Should have left. Nothing is made to order except pizzas I suspect. Cheap wines very overpriced. Caesar salad ok...needed a bit more dressing. Enormous portions of BAD food....that is the attraction. Pizza ok..crust way...too thick for real Italian....Tuscany Italian. Pasta carbonara horrible. No way fixed Italian. A few pieces of ? Pancetta? And cream. Blah. I would never recommend this restaurant.More
Our favorite and only Italian restaurant we go to. Owners from Ponza, Italy. They serve authentic Italian foods. The pizza sauce is most amazing flavor. Wines the menu is outstanding. You can reserve the party room for any special occasion. Their new addition is gorgeous....Gelato bar is so yummy, as well.More
Finally made it to Chow after hearing so many good things from friends and Neighbors. We were not disappointed. I love the options they provide of traditional Italian in one dining room happy hour at the beautiful bar or more fine dining in another spot....Even though Grand banquet room for any big event you might want to plan. We ordered the lasagna and fettuccine alfredo. Both were just excellent And good size portions. The warm bread that accompanied our meal was wonderful also. We were too full for dessert but happy to know the large selection of Italian Cakes and Pastries and gelatos along with a wonderful cheese selection I will take a closer look at next time. I'm sure this will be a regular dining choice in the future. Great service too.More
It was a busy night but it only took 20 minutes to get seated. We didn’t realise there are two seperate restaurants in the building, so if you want a specific restaurant make sure you specify that when arriving. They reseated us really fast when...we realised our mistake. The food is great and the portions large. I recommend the risotto tuscano. My wife had an eggplant dish and loved it. There was enough for both of us to have lunch the next day.
Staff are nice and friendly. This was my first visit after hearing friends also praise this place.
We’ll be back.More
We went here twice while visiting family in CA. This was their favorite place. It was good but I wished we visited another place to check out another restaurant in the area. Long wait food came out quickly. This place has a lot of noise...since it is busy. We had the Gnocchi Gorgonzola (lots of sauce save some bread) next we had the Salmon Salmoriglio which was very good the spinach was cooked perfect and it came with a side of pasta that was little round balls of pasta which looked like risotto.
Family owned and good place to eat.More
