Went here for lunch. Had a delicious plate of "street" tacos. You pay at the counter, take a seat an they bring out your food. Free chip and salsa bar with a minimum purchase. You can grab a beer here. The decor is very basic, dont come here for the ambiance come for the food. Its great.

This is the place my fiance goes for Mexican food in the last 30 years. I love this place because their food is so good and so authentic. If you eat here once you don't want to go anywhere else

Did I get lucky! This place has very good food and cold, cold beer on a hot, hot, Sacramento day. Go adventerous in this place. I did and got rewarded well by trying the Lengua and the Adovada tacos. Go way out of your way for the Adovada. It is a spicy (not hot though) pork dish. And I'm sure... More

We are serious fans of good Mexican food, sampling restaurants large and tiny, fancy and plain, all over California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, every time we travel. Our standard question, arriving at a new town, is: "Where's the best Mexican restaurant?" Sometimes we just stumble across something wonderful, without asking. Yesterday, returning from a family visit in Sacramento,... More

Salsa is a very good Mexican restaurant and I am very picky about Mexican food in the US - most of it is terrible. The food is authentic, the service is great and the portions are ample. One of the other reviewers said this place is laid back - that describes it - except in the quality of the food... More

Tried out Salsa Tacos while in town for the Amgen Tour of California bike race. Terrific find. Laid back vibe, excellent food and generous portions at very reasonable prices. Cold Mexican beer goes down well beneath walls covered with groovy mosaic art created by the owner. It's casual and unpretentious: you order at the front and food is brought to... More

We stopped at this place since it had an outdoor dining table where we could have lunch with our dog Dory. Glad we did! The chicken tostadas were very good and the chips and salsa were tasty. A very good value!

I was staying nearby, and I'm happy with the solo dining choice. Very casual - you order and pay at the counter, and they deliver to your table. Fresh Modelo Especial on tap, and an enchilada mole special. I've never before had such a fresh, clean and bright mole sauce. If it's available, you've got to try. I went to... More

I have worked in West Sacramento for many years and have seen it grow. New restaurants have popped up but the one I go back to is Salsa Tacos. The food is very authentic, tasty and reasonably priced. I go there at least once a week and have tried several of their items but the I really enjoy the carne... More
