The name is now Esperanza's not Lalo's. Our food was delicious and the prices reasonable. If you find yourself in Yreka please give this gem a try.

Her Mexican food is great but don't hesitate to order and American dish. Her steak is really good and the seafood is great when in season!

I grew up in Yreka and although I have had the opportunity to live near Los Angeles and in three other areas of the country - it continues to be one of my favorite restaurants. In fact, upon any visit I always make it a point to have one meal there. On the my last visit I was surprised by... More

Traveling to the Oregon Coast and stopped for the night. Saw Lalo's and dropped in. Friendly waitress, great menu, fast service, tasty food and margaritas, decent prices... what more can you ask for? The restaurant was clean including the bathrooms. Try the chicken enchiladas... lots of chicken, gooey cheese, sour cream, and the best guacamole! Beans and rice too. Kids... More

The same beautiful decor and similar menu await you in this gem in Old Town Yreka. The food is very good - and the chicken tostada I had was outstanding. Wonderful service in private alcoves make this a relaxing and rejuvenating spot after a long day on I-5. The proximity to a major motel plus many interesting shops in the... More

We were staying the night in Yreka and this restaurant was in walking distance from the Best Western we were staying in. Nice place. Homey touch with family pictures on one wall. Liked the booths they had with arched openings. Seemed popular with the locals. Service not the greatest but server was friendly. Food was average. Nothing to rave about.

Don't be confused by the name; Esperanza is Lalo's sister and she changed the name of the restaurant. But it's still a great place with really, really good food. Esperanza is a delight and even the wine is surprisingly good. Have the carnitas fajitas. They are awesome and there's lots of it. One of the best Mexican restaurants you'll find.

We had dinner here and walked over from the Best Western. It was mid-week, so it was not crowded and we had excellent service and great food. Will certainly stop here again when we travel through.

O.K. honestly I did not try enough items on the menu to give a thorough review. As a person that eats Mexican food usually at least eight times a week, this does not qualify in that category. Yeah they got something called a burrito. Unfortunately too many people confuse large portion size with quality. Using the cheapest carbohydrates (rice and... More
