Driving south on vacation when we both said at once, "we ate there last time". We never forget a good lunch spot and were glad we spotted Lu's. We started with a very fresh and tasty side salad served with plenty of our favorite dressing. That was followed by their "famous" green chili cheeseburger. That was an excellent choice. Their... Following our need to try new places - we happened to be in Blanca without having had breakfast. I spied Lou's which turned out to have an interesting take on the breakfast relleno. They are a green chile stuffed with scrambled eggs and potato and bacon, then wrapped in an egg roll wrapper then fried crisp. A heaping ladle of... More

Despite a few good reviews this place missed the mark for flavor. Three of us chose multiple dishes and none had much of a taste. Staff was very friendly.

There is much to choose from. I recommend Aunt Marcella's cinnamon rolls. Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Our multi-generational family stopped by here for breakfast before heading to the Great Sand Dunes. Excellent selection, great prices (7 of us ate for $60). Service was very speedy, food was delicious and our wait staff was friendly & helpful (gave us tips for the day at the Dunes). Worth the stop!

Had lunch here on our way to hiking Blanca Peak. Our entire crew had lunch and it was an awesome place to fill up before a big hiking trip. To start we had Jerod's Macho Nachos which were loaded with goodness - the fresh guac and salsa were delicious. My husband and I shared Monica's Mexican Combo - the portions... More

The outside looks old, but the inside is remodeled and very nice. The Mexican food was good and and little spicy. Chicken strips were big and tasty. Good for kids, very casual. Homemade pie

When I was a Civil War Reenactor [back in the day], I was fond of stopping at Lu's before making the long trek back to Denver. Stopping here now- as part of a long-desired vacation- I had lunch with these folks and it still rocks! I had their 'Ginger's Rellenos' plate and could not have been more pleased. Two, whole... Healthy sized portions, we had burgers and French fries and they were fantastic. Will definitely go back for more. No frills but good food.

Awesome food, excellent service even when we arrived right before closing. The staff was attentive and friendly! The Cobb salad was very delicious. Highly recommend that you stop by!
