Had an evening meal here on a Sunday. Waitress was very friendly & helpful, service was a little slow bringing our desserts. Roast was a little dry & potatoes were hard, it was as if they were cooked earlier and left out for a good few hours. Brownie was lovely! If having a roast, make sure you go at lunchtime.

After visiting here several times over the years I thought popping up here for a late lunch would be a safe bet. Unfortunately that was not the case. Upon welcome we were seated after 5-10 minutes which was a long time seeing as it wasn't particularly busy at all. After ordering at the bar (which I don't mind doing) we... More

Not a great Good Friday at the Cricketers. Poor service, indifferent bar staff and only one of five ales actually working. Not good enough for a country pub.

I absolutely love this pub. It's a local of mine and I love coming here. The food is great, the atmosphere is great and it's just a great place to either eat or drink. However, I am currently here on good Friday and they have run out of 5 items on the menu! This is extremely disappointing as the choices... More

What has happened to the cricketers ? Years of great visits and today we had abrupt and unfriendly service from the gentleman at the bar - who studiously ignored us on arrival - not sure why ? So rude and unfriendly that we chose to leave immediately. He was clearly not coping and gunning for an argument. He was really... More

Dear Sir, I am very disturbed to read this review and am truly shocked that you were made to feel that way by any of my team! If it's possible could you either me give a call or drop the pub an email, so that we can discuss this occurrence in further detail. Our email address is cricketers@brunnindandprice.co.uk or the... A brilliant experience here when we met up with friends for a meal on a Saturday lunchtime. A beautiful village setting and the pub has a wonderful atmosphere. Welcoming staff and a great selection of beer started things off well and the food was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back.

We popped in for lunch today, the pub and the village are lovely and we've been frequent visitors to another pub in the village for years and quite honestly we should have stuck to our usual. We ordered food after about 5 mins we were told that they were running late on food, did we want olives and nibbles, we... More

Saturday was very warm and sunny, so we decided to find a pub with a garden for our lunch. It was my first time in the Cricketers. Atmosphere and design is very welcoming, gives good impression. They do many ales and my favourite Aspall Lol. Menu isn't big, but good options of traditional English food. I had a steak, mushroom... More

I led a walking party (18 people) for my local walking group and stopped at the Cricketers, Sarratt Green for the lunch break. The stop was pre-planned as I had visited the pub previously during the walk planning stage. I think most of the 18 people used the pub, mainly for meals and drinks but some just for drinks. All... This is a real eating pub with with a great menu and backed up by good cooking and good service. If you are seated near the front there are views across the green and a nearby pond. we found the service pretty good on a sunday lunchtime and the place was packed. Some of the seating is a little tight... More
