We went as a group of four friends to celebrate a 70th birthday and we all had a great evening (Sat 18 Feb). The restaurant was busy, the staff were efficient and friendly without being over familiar as can so often be the case these days and thankfully not once were we addressed as "you guys" The chicken liver pate... A lovely little country pub set in the heart of sarratt. We love coming here and have tried lots of the dishes, the pub is always busy and never seems to be quiet. On this occasion I had the roast beef and my husband had the mix meats roast, my little one had the tomato pasta. The portion sizes are... More

With it being a Friday we couldn't resist the fish and chips. We were looked after we with lots of attention and offers of help. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but enjoyed the food and nice ambience for our catch up - everything we needed. Couldn't squeeze in a pudding so will have to come back!

We had garlic bread and salad to start, both yummy. Kids menu is fantastic and varied with lots to choose from for the adults too. The staff were very accommodating and the place was busy so advise on booking a table if you can. They take dogs! So pet lovers should be happy. They also made room for our pram... More

Mid-week lunch and as the restaurant was not too busy we expected a rather quicker service than we experienced. We were in no burry but we had consumed our drinks before even ordering our food. Anyhow ..... a minor blip as the food was very nice indeed. Haddock and chips (lovely crispy batter and the best chips); crispy beef salad... More

The pub is a picture postcard, idilic English pub on the green, the ambiance is very good, they serve a nice variety of real ales and they have sandwich, light lunch and full lunch menus to serve everyone's pallets and price range. I ordered the beef salad and my guest ordered a steak and ale pie, both were enjoyed and... More

My Dad wanted to treat me to a birthday lunch - he asked if I'd like to eat at The Cricketers, I agreed. What a mistake that was. Within an hour and a half we'd had only starters, Pate and Soup. Half an hour after finishing our starters they were finally cleared away. When we asked about our mains, they... More

We have eaten here on many occasions and been served lovely food. Today I felt like it was not the same place! Our table was booked for 4pm where I was taking my family for one of their lovely Sunday Roasts only to be told there was no pork today or mixed roast. So we all ordered the Beef roast.... More
