Called I a takeout order for the spinach salad, asked for blue cheese crumbles to be set aside. Got back to office ... crumbles all over the salad. Took home to husband who said was delicious!

The food and service was great. Only downside is that the restaurant is downtown with no free parking.

The menu is extensive, the food well crafted, and the staff more than accommodating. They are able to seat large groups in a room to the rear of the restaurant. Substitutions to meet my dietary needs are made with good grace and timely suggestions.

I will just pass on comments relative to your accurate and very good review. We ordered a whole cheese cake at this deli for my birthday. It was not as good as in New York, it was better. I grew up on Long Island, just over the New York city border. I ate a number of times at Linde's, the NY theater district restaurant famed for its cheese cake. Linde's had over 50 types of cheese cake. I am telling you that this cheese cake, here in Colorado, was the most delicious and artfully one I have ever had in my life. As a New Yorker by birth and a Jew by a couple of thousand year of heritage, I feel I am qualified to say that this East Coast Deli cheese cake in Colorado, baked by a Hispanic baker, was better than anything I experienced in metropolitan New York or anywhere else. The corn beef and pastrami sandwiches are also great, as you said, just like in New York. But, just as a New York waiter will sometimes tell you not to order a certain dish in a deli there, I have to warn you not to order the cabbage soup or the borscht at the East Coast Deli in Colorado Springs. These soups are awfull here. They are not at all similar to what anyone in my family made or anything I ever had in New York deli. Another reviewer also panned the borscht. These are classic dishes that no Jewish style deli should ever get so wrong. But, no matter, this, after all, is the West and not exactly like the East. Still, I am very glad to have the East Coast Deli here, .

Very good information! I wouldn't have borsch there... I've been to Russia and Ukraine and had the stuff made from scratch in a village. Lol. I can never go back to any other type of it. I am really glad the cheesecake was... More
