I loved my first visit but this place qualifies as a legit neighborhood dive. I love the ambiance, all the wait staff were great and my carne Assad tacos were perfect! I will definitely be back.

First off, I love Monica's. Have eaten there for years. I like both locations, but like the one on Fillmore best. Their red salsa is amazing! Hot. But really good. Within the past two weeks, I've gotten three different things at Monica's - a burrito, a taco and today a taco salad. I've always been impressed by the amount of... More

Stopped by for lunch - good tasting food with generous portions. All the meals are very good. You can't go wrong here.

No fancy decor and no fancy prices. Just good cheap for and drink. My mother had the shredded beef tacos and I had the carne asada tacos. I was here many many years ago with a cousin and it's just as good as it was. Definitely worth the stop. Order the horchata to drink.

It is closer to Fast Food than a dining room restaurant, but the menu has a wide variety of Mexican dishes - tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and lots more. My wife had the burrito carnitas, and I had two ground beef enchiladas. Plus, we split chips & cheese as well as a side of guacamole. My wife especially loves Mexican food,... More

This is one of those hole-in-the-wall joints...at least by appearances. The food is excellent. Great carnitas anything n great salsa.

I've lived in the Springs for almost 20 years now, and Monica's has been the go-to place for breakfast burritos. After the new year they raised their prices quite a bit, and when you look at the costs for the ingredients in the burritos, and other plates that they make, it's just a price that I'm not really going to... This is truly a place that reminds me of buying food in Mexico. Very authentic. You won't get a plate of fancy food, just homemade food that fills your belly and will keep you coming back for more! By the way, my favorite is the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito. Be sure to try both types of salsa! Los... More

Monica's has the kind of authentic taste you expect from a taqueria. It's not fancy, it's greasy, the meat can be tough, and the service is inconsistent, but we always enjoy the food. My wife loves the chicken tacos; they come in crunchy corn tortillas with lots of cheese and lettuce. I like the carne asada and carnitas tacos; they... More
