Carmine's continue to be an awesome neighborhood Italian hot spot. The food and service are so consistent. It is always a pleasure to return. Their cocktails are delicious (I love the lemon drops- they are PERFECT- and my husband likes the Manhattans). The Italian wine...More

I have been coming here for years. And haven't been here in awhile. They didn't disappoint. Our server Chaz was great. Walked us through the menu and helped us select a wonderful red for dinner. The atmosphere is casual but upscale. Not overly fancy. They...More

Carmine’s on Penn is always a great dining experience filled with great food and top notch friendly service by the wait staff. Nice family style dinners that will leave you with plenty to take home. Definitely recommend Carmines... you won’t regret it.

The food and the service were ok. Nothing terrible but nothing really special. The exception was the Caesar Salad. It was prepared well. The entree dishes were pretty bland. All of the menu items are on a blackboard and a handheld blackboard-style menu. There are...More

Enjoyed a nice evening with friends. The food is very good, the service is also good. Would probably skip the salad next time had the house salad, over-priced for the taste. Enjoyed the Bolognese and the carbonara. Would prefer a wine list with more reasonably...More

We so enjoyed the family style dining. Sharing many plates allowed us to pick favorites. Ours was the chicken, pasta with Gorgonzola sauce. The salad was perfect and the bread outstanding! Sitting on the terrace made us feel like we were dining in Italy!

Had a nice meal with my son, his fiancé, and sister- in-law and brother-in-law on the veranda. Not fancy by any means but great Italian food served family style. We ordered 4 regular entrees (priced for two people - family portions for four also available)...More

We have been here a few times, and as usual, it was great. Our service was wonderful, as was the food. Sadly, however, our garlic knots were just a little over done. However, that didn't stop us from having a couple.

It's not the worse and it's definitely not the best food it try's to be authentic by not having any descriptions on the food the service was EXCELLENT and deserves a minimum 20% gratuity like my title says " FOGETTABOUTITT"

There is just something extra comforting to this restaurant. I believe it is the combination of the location, in a neighborhood (so unusual for this part of the world) and the delicious dishes served family style (a.k.a huge portions). Service was fantastic - our main...More

Carmine's was opened in 1994. Brad Ritter has been involved in operations since 2005, became a managing partner in 2009, and became the sole proprietor in 2014. He worked with his partners to give Carmine's a facelift in 2006 featuring artwork by local artist Kerry Kice who adorned our old building's interior with murals and artistic paint touches. He has been fans of Carmine's since the beginning so the changes made were modest to keep the real flavor and feel of the restaurant that has been so popular.
