Where else can you get a good chicken fried steak or a turkey dinner that tastes like you would have made it yourself. Nothing fancy about the place but just helpful staff and decent food at a reasonable price.

I arrived after a long flight, hungry and tired. The lady who greeted me was the nicest person. The staff was friendly, the food was really good. I had the pot roast, mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and EVERYTHING tasted as if it was cooked in my wife's kitchen. Prices are reasonable. Also they provide you with rolls, cornbread... More

The Service was very good. We were greeted immediately after we entered. We were very hungry and the Waitress was ready to take our order. I enjoyed the Chicken fried steak with peas and a Sweet potato. The Sweet potato was done just right and the chick fried steak was cooked well also. It was very nice meal

I don't eat here when I am watching calories but when I am craving home cooking just like Grandma used to make. It never disappoints. Server offered extra rolls and extra gravy.

Menu has a lot of comfort meals and fried foods too. We stopped on a Friday for prime rib around 7, they were out. Had pot roast and chicken fried steak entrées. Both were above average very flavorful. They fall apart on their sides Mac and cheese noodles with yellow water cheese, corn fritters no flavor either, fries too. Mashed... More

We had never been to a "Black-eyed Pea" restaurant before so decided to give it a try. We had the mashed potato bowl and the Irish something bowl, can't remember the exact name, but it was like a pot roast essentially. The drinks were very big, salads were delicious, bread and cornbread were very good as well. The main course... More

Black-Eyed Pea gave my husband and I the opportunity to taste some regional favorites on our recent visit to Denver. I have never had fried corn on the cob - can we say delicious? All the food was yummy and reasonably priced too and the service was great!

OK, so it's not highbrow, but we go to this restaurant at least once a month. It's simple, unpretentious and their senior menu is enough food for us. (How they make a profit is what I am wondering.) That said, the salads are crisp and delicious, their chopped steak prime quality, the pot roast is good, and the fish always... More

I'd never heard of this chain before. And while I usually avoid chain restaurants, I'd found this one looking for a vegetarian meal. And boy, did I find one! The menu offers 15 different vegetables. So while my dining companion devoured steak and shrimp, I happily feasted on a super-fresh spinach salad, perfectly steamed broccoli, and a butternut squash casserole.... More
