We came because of the history, we left very satisfied because of the food, the service and the atmosphere. This is a true living history lesson and should not be missed. It holds a very special place and should be enjoyed.

The best buffalo steak I have ever had .... melts in your mouth. We are over 200 miles from Denver, so a trip to the Buckhorn is a special treat.

Being a local I wanted to try this place for years but never had the opportunity. Went there with some colleagues in a semi celebration after a great week of sales. The service was outstanding. Everybody was extremely friendly and attentive and you couldn't ask...More

The atmosphere is great (cool to see a white bison head), the wait staff friendly and the food was pretty darn good. I have good allergies and they were highly accommodating and thoughtful. The elk was wonderful as was the rattlesnake appetizer special. Highly recommend...More

We've been here before, but many years ago. Glad to see that the top quality food & service have not changed. If you have never been here, it's hard to explain the décor! Just a wonderful place.

Immediately seated and assured they do not have MSG in their food - that's good. Beer, wine and drinks went well. We had good service. One would hope that since the late 1800s they could get a baked potato correct - not done on the...More

The Buckhorn Exchange is more than just a great restaurant, it is a piece of Colorado history. Our experience was top notch all the way around. I love that it is a top rated steak house, but jeans and t-shirts are ok for dress code....More

Casual - This is a Colorado local restaurant and when you enter it gives you that mountain feeling. It is what you would expect 100 years ago to enter a lowly lit, place with lots of wall mounts and home style seating. There... More
