I have eaten here a number of times over the years. Food has always been creative, yet the quality has declined with each subsequent visit. Too expensive for the quality, there are other places that offer a much better dining experience for the time and money.

Be prepared to queue here- my colleague and I went here whilst we were at a conference in Denver in June. It is well worth the wait though. The bread- which is plentiful is INCREDIBLE. We couldn’t stop eating it. Between the 2 of us we ordered a selection of options. Everything was delicious, freshly cooked, tasty and beautifully presented.... More

I was in downtown Denver for a professional conference, the type at which you get to run into friends and colleagues you see once a year or less. As historians of contemporary Spain, I and my seven other friends, sought out a local Spanish restaurant near the Colorado Convention Center, and we were all thrilled with Rioja. Nestled in the... I have been very impressed with the food scene in Denver having visited continuously for the past year. One of my favorite go to restaurants has been Rioja!! The staff is friendly (a few remember me when I arrive which is impressive), the cooks phenomenal (and young), and the food fantastic. Being one person I can usually find a last... More

We chose this restaurant based on reviews. The food was full of flavor and the service was very good. Even though we brought our well-behaved tween children on NYE everyone was nice to us. If you are looking for a memorable experience during a trip or special occasion, Rioja is a good choice. The pasta dishes were delicious along with... More

My husband and I were able to have a lovely dinner on the patio before seeing a show downtown. Loved the sangria flight and the pasta dishes. Great service! Highly recommended the breads as well.

Our family visited here on New Years Eve 2016. We were pleasantly surprised. It is a short walk from 15th. The ambiance was classy, and the noise level was perfect. The host staff was very welcoming and we were promptly seated. The lobster bisque soup was excellent although I would have preferred a larger portion. The service was great from... More

My husband and I went to Riojo for lunch on a saturday thinking it was a mexican restaurant. We got there and were seated for brunch instead, since on saturdays they serve brunch. Ordered our food. Was totally impressed with the level of service, at lunch time. They are super attentive. Provide you with little offerings before your food shows... More

Superb food and even better service. The bartender led me to great dishes for me and though not overly talkative, superbly attentive. The barback was even better!

Nice ambience. Very good wine list. My husband ate lamb sandwich and was good( average). My daughter a pasta and I ate salmon. Everything was average. Service very good. And staff friendly. Maybe food is better at dinner, but we went at lunch. Didn't impress me.
