What a great find! We had a reservation at another restaurant with a long wait so we dropped in here to have a cocktail. I cannot gush enough about this place. Griffin, the bartender, made amazing drinks. He's an artist! And he convinced us to stay for dinner which we did because we were really enjoying ourselves so far. The... More

I must say this was the most delicious Italian fare I have experienced in Denver. First the decor is beautiful, the light fixture is fascinating. We were greeted at the door, by the owner. We were seated upstairs which made for a great view of downtown and the lower part of restaurant. We were served nice crusty bread with olive... More

Had a very good week night dinner w friends at the new Il Posto recently. The new space is sleek, modern and hip. It lacks some of the cozy charm of the former uptown location but the food is still quite good. We shared the burrata and candala to start - both very good. My husband and I shared a... More

Il Posto is about hype not good food -- Owner is a nice fellow but runs a sloppy kitchen -- carrot ends not thrown out for example -- the food is just mediocre. Bar staff is friendly but not talented. The wine list at least by the glass is literally all junk -- jug wines selling for $10+ they assume... More

The move to RINO took nothing away from this wonderfully authentic restaurant. We went as two couples, so we enjoyed a variety of appetizers as well as the dinners. The quality and taste of the food was spectacular. The service is both highly professional while being personable and "Denver friendly." This is comparable to any great restaurant anywhere.

This was one of our favorite restaurants in Denver. Sadly, not so anymore. The original location was a quaint, located in a quite area, and reminiscent of something you might actually find in Italy. The new location, in our opinion, is none of that. I have no issue with the desire to expand, grow, and improve margins but, in my... More

On a visit to Denver, we had a delicious meal at Il Posto's elegant new location. The cocktails are fun with an Italian twist--I recommend the Il Posto Negroni--and there's a great selection of Italian wines. We started with a wonderful pureed celery root and cauliflower soup flavored with white truffle. My husband chose a homemade squid ink pasta topped... More

We were just walking around and ran into this place. The decor is pretty cool. We ate at the bar. The service was good and our food was great. My main course was the Tuna and it was excellent.

We ate at their new location: 2601 Larimer (26th and Larimer) in the heart of the RINO district. They are no longer operating at 2011 17th Ave. The new location is spacious and much larger than the old, but still has a feeling of intimacy, compared with some of the notable Denver restaurants. The architecture surrounds an incredible series of... More
