We wanted coffee and saw this little cabin type place off the side of the road in Divide, Colorado and gave it a try. We enjoy finding little off the wall Mom and Pop places to spend our money supporting the locals. This place met our goal!!! When you walk in, you get the mom and pop feel! Margaret (Mom) and Jesse (Pop) own the place. The cabin was originally a small school in the past. Great history. Margaret is also the home style cooking chief, baker, and more. The staff we met was great too such as Ezra and Linsey who were lovely to work with, very conversational, and made us feel welcomed and at home. Coffees are great. The bakery items are endless such as home made muffins, danishes, chocolate, etc. Home made loaves of bread to buy. I enjoyed the hearty loaded large piece of breakfast quiche Margaret made. There is a lunch menu as well. Great experience. The locals kept coming and going with orders. If you want to new experience, stop at the House of Margaret Munchies. It put a smile on our faces. Thanks Margaret and Jesse for the fun experience. We'll be back.

My spouse said it was the best quiche he'd ever had in his (long) life, and he's eaten a lot of quiche. The carrot cake made like a spice cake with carrots, and crushed pecans in the frosting, was absolutely scrumptious! And the fruit & cream cheese Danish pastries we took home to Denver were still fresh and so good.
