We have been to Durango several times and we have had some good meals but Eolus is in a league all their own! Quality food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. Fine dining without the stuffy feel. We had the special roll as an appetizer and all entree choices were superb. Filet Mignon, Halibut, Salmon, and the Lobster Burger were... More

Ask any Durango local where to eat, and there's a good chance he or she will put Eolus at the top of the list. The restaurant's reputation is well-deserved: Eolus combines a classy, convivial atmosphere with an adventurous menu running the gamut from sushi to Rocky Mountain meat. The chopped salad is a particular treat, served on a flat plate... More

We were seated quickly and were greeted by our server promptly. I had the 1/2 beet salad, my companion had the caesar salad. Both were tasty, fresh and refreshing. Entrees were amazing. We both enjoyed the tender and juicy surf and turf. Desserts delicious and just the right ending for a great meal. Service was superb, friendly and fine.

First night: We shared the special sushi roll Ordered a nice bottle of French wine to pair with two different steak entrees. Amazing food. Very attentive chef. Not 'doll food' but not an enormous plate either, the right amount. Second night: Yes, we ditched our reservation at another restaurant and went back for the happy hour on All Hallows Eve... More

We took a friend here recently. We had the "surf & turf ". The lobster was superb and the fillet was very tasty. The restaurant has an excellent wine list that is frequently updated. Our friend thinks their in house mahatten is the best he has ever had.

Based on reviews, ordered Calamari - ok but sauce was a little sweet and surprisingly not on the side, and Caesar Salad - just barely OK - too much dressing and not crisp lettuce. Our friends had crab sushi roll and liked it a lot. Service was ok relative to time and efficiency but not at all friendly beyond the... More

We had last been here when the restaurant was still called Cosmo. The food is every bit as good as it was two years ago. We shared the calamari which is some of the most tender and flavorful I've very had. We also shared the soup of the night which was a roasted broccoli which was good but not incredible.... More

We love coming here and try to get by about twice a month. We found that the 4:30 - 5:30 daily (everyday) happy hour is a great time to get a feel for the place. $5 glasses of excellent quality wine as well as 1/2 price gourmet sushi rolls, (7-9$ is half price) and $7 calamari/shrimp with flash fried lemons... Had the sirloin special. Six slices of meat, one inedible due to connective tissue. $46, do the math, per bite. Included some steamed broccoli and home fries.
