I took my aunt and uncle here for a special evening and we were treated like royalty. Got to sit in a beautiful tree lit stage area and Mark, the bartender, gave us a personalized rundown of all their specialty drinks. All so yummy, it was hard to decide! Mark was also very knowledge about the nuances of the menu and helped us make delicious decisions from the Happy Hour specials. What a treat! My aunt and uncle’s new favorite dining experience.

From the moment we stepped in to the Derailed Pour House, we were greeted, seated and served by our lovely and efficient waitress Courtney. Courtney provided suggestions to the two couples from South Dakota pointing out happy hour appetizers to go with our selections of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - always refilling our parched throats after a day at Mesa Verde. Burgers and speciality sandwiches were delicious as we enjoyed the back patio. Courtney killed it…with impeccable customer service and the kitchen made are hunger a thing of the past!

Derailed Pour House is one of the most popular restaurants/bars in Durango. It has some of the coolest decoration; trees lit up with different color lights. Luckily, we managed to get a table around 6 PM or so without a reservation. We were seated in front of the singer who immediately interacted with us. I had the Spring Mix Mandarin salad with grilled chicken added ($19 total). The service was fine even though the place was packed. We ate there the next night as well, also without a reservation. There were no available tables but we asked if we could sit at the other end of put-together tables where another group was seated. (There would be ample space between us and them.) They kindly said yes and got seated. I had the Southwest Salad with grilled chicken added (also $19). On both nights the salads were fresh, crispy and the chicken fresh-cooked. A special shout out to the blond young man with the cool French Polynesian tattoo on his left forearm (apologies for not remembering his name). He is extremely charming and helpful.

Hey steelergirl87! Thank you for the kind words about the restaurant and staff. The gentleman your refering to is Grant. We are fmaily owned and operated and he is my son. He is an amzing person and some of the glue that holds the restaurant together. The tattoo is cool. Painful to watch, being a mom but a beautiful story they created on his arm. We are so happy to have had you as a guest and look forward to having you back soon. GO STEELERS!

This was typical of the many brew pubs we ate at on our USA tour. The food was good, but the Brut Sparkling wine was sweet and served in a tumbler, like a fizzy soft drink, and not brut at all, although, to be fair, the waiter did offer to change it for something different without being asked. The water was served in jam jars, as it was for other guests, which may be a novel idea, but was not pleasant or easy to drink out of.

I am sorry you felt your experience was sub-par. Our food is geared towards brew pub fare and all house made from scratch daily and cooked to order, we appreciate that you enjoyed the food.
We specialize in craft cocktails, offering 47 on our drink menu itself. Wine is not something we are heavy in as we are not a fine dining establishment. The sparkling wine you're referring to here is our house and out of California. It is described as "ripe apple and pear and honey and citrus" which is why it would lean sweeter. It is most certainly a brut called Wycliff and very affordable for our guests. We do offer dryer champagne options. The glassware we serve the brut in are stemless wine glasses, not tumblers. The water glasses are in place because they are heavier and make for a smoother dinner service because there is less breakage. We take pride in our customer service and want every guest to have an amazing time at our restauarnt. We would have been happy to change out your water glass if you found it difficult to drink out of. Communication with your server and/or the manager on duty would have helped us to create an experience for you that might be more than a "typical brew pub in the USA".

This spot had delicious food & drinks at reasonable prices. I booked this reservation for a company dinner and couldn't have been happier with Derailed's atmosphere, food and
exceptional service. Our server Alec was fantastic! He was attentive, friendly and very informative on the food & drink menu. I highly recommend Derailed for a top notch dining experience in Durango.

We were seated for dinner and given 2 drink menus and one food menu. My husband asked for a second menu and the server said “we normally give only one food menu and the two drink menus.” We asked again for 2 menus, nit wanting to hear her explanation and her opening the cocktail menu to show us the special drinks and to speak to the manager. She then said she did not appreciate his rudeness. Seriously? Because he wants to see a food menu? Yes, he then said “I don’t give a $/i!” at which point we were asked to leave. Granted, we should have just left immediately when the rude waitress did not want to walk back to the front and get us a second menu. It felt like she was just wanting to force alcohol o us to run up a bigger tab. As we were walking out, a patron at another table said they had the same experience and good for us for insisting on our food menus. We then went to the Mamma Silvas and had amazing food and great service by Lorie and the team over there. (And they gave us 2 menus!LOL)

Shannon, we never like to hear someone had a poor experience at Derailed. We NEVER force alcohol on our guests. We have a large selection of non alcoholic drinks. The menu you're referencing that our server was showing you is our happy hour listings of $6 food items our server thought you might be interested in. Saving you money. Our menus are quite large and it is not unusaul for a couple to share one. Assuming, as you described here, that our server is lazy and was not interested in getting you another menu is completly false. Grabbing you another food menu was not an issue at all.
Your husbands approach from the moment he sat down was rude. The server you had is one of our best. She ALWAYS offers grace to guests when they come accross disrespectful. And in your case, she did just that. But your husband wasn't having it. He was disrespectful and used vulgar langauage towards my server. So, we asked you to leave. All over a menu.
Walking into any business does not give someone entitlement to speak to the staff in a demeaning manner. Kindness matters.

We come here often. The food and drinks are always delicious! The staff is awesome! Sylvia has been our server multiple times and is always kind, knowledgeable, fun and makes sure we have everything we want.

Another great dinner at Derailed Pour House! Sylvia provided an excellent experience as we dined out early as a family of four with two little kids. The cherries were flowing for our daughters Shirley Temple - 5 stars from the four year old! We've never had a bad experience, food is always great, and the design and décor of the restaurant are spot on (we love all the lit trees inside)! The live music was great entertainment! Thanks all!

The service with Tonny was excellent. What a great server! The beer was cold, the food was very tasty, and the atmosphere is one of a kind. If you are looking for unique and a different approach to your average weekend or night outing with friends or family and like retro then go here, however because it is so fabulous, you will wait a hot minute for your entree so order plenty of appetizers, hence that's the only reason i did not give the review rating an excellent one.

Derailed Pour House- DON’T MISS IT! You have to look closely or you’ll miss the small, fading sign for this delightful venue! We entered to the sound of live music and lively chatter and, as requested, we were seated outside on the back patio.
Our waitress, Jenn, efficiently and knowledgeably guided us through the drink menus and helped us by answering our many questions as we worked our way through the menu. We opted for the House Sampler and were not disappointed. Our personal favorites were the pulled pork tacos, the “loaded” nachos and the Southwest egg rolls. The SW poppers were also good - just not our favorites. I know, it was really all good! Our waitress continued to impress us with her gracious and timely service. Although she was in constant motion waiting and clearing several other tables (AND sweeping the floor!) we never wanted for or waited for anything. She made us feel as though we were her only guests.
Don’t miss the Derailed Pour House.

We stopped here for dinner mainly because it’s rated #1 on Trip Advisor.
The service was outstanding.
We ordered a few beers and the Sampler Platter which was a large portion for two people and it tasted great.
There’s a reason it’s rated #1.
Highly recommend.

We arrived at Happy Hour. I ordered a mandarin salad and a couple of tacos off the happy hour menu along with a cosmo all all $6/each, while my dining partner indulged in a pulled pork sandwich with truffle fries, both of which he loved. My cosmo was too strong for me (yes, I’m a lightweight), but with two extra shots of cranberry juice it was perfect. The food was delicious and our waitress Jen, was very attentive and super personable. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous, lit by realistic deciduous trees strung with lit flowers in pink and white. We ate on the back patio, which continued the floral theme with another lit tree and a trellised wall filled with greenery and sunflowers. The patio is shaded and has some wind guards, so the temp and atmosphere were perfect. The menu had lots of pub favorites, and we had a great dinner for two for ~$45. Loved it!

met my friends here for *girls night* and it was incredible. we shared lots of apps and had lots of drinks + had such a great time! my suggestions are to 1) sit in a little room? booth? (not sure what they’re called but they have cute little chairs and doors + are a whole vibe) 2) cross your fingers than Liam is your server because he’s amazing at his job + is easy on the eyes 3) eat the boneless wings, southwest egg rolls + pork tacos 4) drink the violet beauregarde + the huckleberry 5) take a selfie with Liam (hopefully it’s better than ours) and leave a review bc he deserves it! but in all seriousness, we LOVE derailed so if you’re looking for a yummy + fun restaurant + especially if you’re going out for drinks, this is your spot <3

Great food and live music. The food menu isn't fancy, but the drink menu is extensive, and all mixed drinks ordered were professionally executed. That is all great and gard to find these days, but where Derailed truly excelled was in service. Our server, Sylvia, was extremely good at providing a very high level of service and anticipating our needs. She knows what she is doing. Recorded and live music was outstanding.

3 adults and 3 teens went for an early dinner on St. Patrick's Day and we were able to enjoy discounted happy hour prices on some amazing appetizers! Our server Brian was attentive, very helpful, quick, and personable. He offered suggestions, answered our questions and was genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our time in Durango. The pork tacos were scrumptious and we highly recommend them! The seating is a bit tight for 6 or more people, but hey, it's a brewery so that's just part of the ambiance.
