We had a family of 4 and got seated quickly. Great service, good menu variety, good kids menu. We had chicken and dumplings, capellini pomodoro, kids pasta, and kid chicken strips. All were great. Also had deserts...bread pudding, chocolate Baileys pie, and some kind of fruit cobbler. All were huge and excellent.

This is a great spot in Durango with outdoor seating facing the Old Train Yard....Rob, the owner, is a really sweet guy and takes great pride in his food and service, which are both excellent. I highly recommend!

We enjoy sitting on the patio watching tourists at the train station. We highly recommend the chicken and dumplings, Rueben sandwich with side salad, and the French onion soup.

Had late lunch last week, I think Feb 9th. Special was green chili mac and cheese. Hamburgers always good as was desert. Especially impressed with "Eric's" professionalism and thorough knowledge of menu, ingredients in selections etc. Best service have received there

We wanted this to become our favorite lunch spot. It is out of the way (probably not in summer). It has great history and the dining rooms are decorated wonderfully. A really nice location with views of the trains. It is really nice. Our first lunch was spectacular. The salmon pasta and home-made soup was terrific! I wanted to go... More

Visiting family and met them here for dinner, we were running late so they had dinner with friends and waited for us to arrive and sat together while we ate, wife had a steak and I tried their Chicken & Dumplings which they are known for, it was excellent!

Horrible. Ridiculously overpriced. Poor food. Average service. Walked in and made a reservation and made sure to specify we were going to be in the restaurant. We arrived and we told we were in the tavern. We have 3 kids and 3 adults and sat us at a round table for 4 and pushed another round table for two together.... More

This is a nice place to eat. It has atmosphere and great food. It's a little upscale, but has a reasonably priced lunch. I had their 50 year Tradition Chicken and Dumplings'. It was EXCELLENT! I recommend this place.

The Palace Restaurant features classic American cuisine. Steaks, seafood, pasta, great sauces, homemade breads and desserts. You can elect to dine in our family-friendly Victorian tavern and order from our moderately priced tavern menu or sit in our elegant dining room and order from our fine dining menu. On our summertime patio, both menus are available. Our restaurant is located in a circa-1880 building and is styled with beautiful Victorian furnishings, such as dark woods and Tiffany-style lamps. Our dining room fire place makes for a romantic evening out in the winter and our tavern and patio are "local favorites." From casual to elegant, we provide a very special dining room experience, with great, classic food and a friendly staff. Please join us!
