Oh man, this place has been around seemingly forever. It's your go-to for no frills Mexican food and a great price. I love the salsa and the sopapillas!

We tried this for dinner last night. I had combination tostadas and my husband had Navajo taco (called something else). The meat on my tostada tasted like what dog food must taste like. My husband said the red chili on his taco tasted like it came straight from the can. Then ask if you want chips and salsa as they... More

This is our third visit to this restaurant in the last ten years. We go back thinking maybe they changed owners, or cooks, anything to improve their food. If anything it has gotten worse! Went last night with three other couples and we all agreed that despite the good service and clean appearance, we all agreed that all of our... More

I can't tell you how many folks I've introduced this establishment to over the past 35+ years, but to say this place is an institution among Mexican cuisine lovers is an understatement. My out of town friends and family always ask to return. It's a family owned business, burned down years ago, rose thru the ashes and lives today in... More

The best thing to order here is the green chili stuffed soapapilla's with ground meat. It is really filling. That the only thing we go there for. It is the only Mexican restaurant in town that doesn't give you complementary chips and salsa.

The food at this restaurant is amazingly simple but yet fantastic. Food is prepared and tastes homemade, not out of a can and served piping hot. Presentation is very good and portions are very generous.

Forty years ago, this was the only Mexican restaurant in town, and the food was good. Now, it's Grand Junction's worst Mexican Restaurant, and by a big margin. Defying my earlier vow to never eat there again, I ate lunch there today because I knew it would be quiet while I reviewed a contract. They charge for chips and salsa,... More

We went here for supper . The atmosphere was horrible . The chips which they charged us for were store bought. . The salsa without any flavor . It took about 10 minutes to take our order and then another 20 minutes for food . We came from San Antonio and are Mexican so we know good food . The... More

Have ate at this restaurant over the years. Good Mexican food at a reasonable price. The building is old and unassuming but is always good food.
