Had a nice table overlooking the beautiful river, but when we looked at the prices we had to laugh. I can't believe they get away with it. The entrees were good, but not $40 good, and the soup was actually inedible. The server was nice, the tablecloth was plastic, and maybe it was an off night. I wouldn't go back,... More

Our table was by the window, with a beautiful view of the stream. The food was delicious and plentiful. We started with an excellent shared dish of brie, jelly, and crackers. The steaks were fantastic, huge, and perfectly done. My onion allergy was addressed, and I was given a different vegetable medley. Our server was attentive, without hovering. The four... More

This is a gorgeous restaurant with a view of the river from the window tables. It has so much rustic charm and is just a great place to dine. The food is excellent and the service is great, but it is pricey! The price is probably a little more than the value. But it's a resort town soooooo.....Check their website... More

The restaurant and outdoor dining overlook the stream, providing a wonderful atmosphere for guests who have come to the area to experience the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park. The menu is excellent, the food well prepared and the drinks well mixed. Service was outstanding. I'd return the next time I'm in the area and would look into staying at the... More

We really enjoyed the experience. The food was great! We had a seat by the window with a beautiful view of the creek. My husband had the Filet and I had the scallops, great tasting but overpriced.

Neighbors introduced us to this restaurant after a visit to the elks "bugling." The décor reminded me of going to my grandma's house (lots of antiques, old photos, crochet) and the food plenty and tasty. We tried the "house" orange-ginger dressing, pretty good. Then, each of us had a "local" specialty, i.e., elk, pork roulade, trout, again all pretty tasty.

Yes, the prices here are over the top, especially for dinner, so consider it a splurge or go for lunch (which is served only during high summer season). We went for a late lunch & the weather was nice enough to sit on the outdoor patio which is small but very near the beautiful Tonahutu River. (In fact, we weren't... More

We ate dinner here and the food plus décor are fantastic. We had stake and prime rib that were cook perfectly. the view of the river from your table, especially with fall colors, is gorgeous. I highly recommend reservations as the place is busy.

Grand Lake has little to offer in the elegant dining arena, but this restaurant had good reviews so we decided to try it. It was charming and flush up to a creek, but way, way, and I repeat, way, overpriced. For a cheesy, touristy, dated town we were SHOCKED at the prices at this restaurant. The cost of a nice... More

Charming historic setting in the forest alongside a creek. Excellent service and food perfectly prepared and presented. Enjoyed baked brie with yummy berry-Kahlua sauce, seared ahi, and scallops with crab cakes and corn salsa. Unusual sun dried tomato basil dipping sauce for fresh bread.
