On our way to Estes Park we stopped about midway in the small town (pop 1440) at the Salto Coffee shop. The best cappuccino I have ever had and that includes the many in Germany and Belgium. Also had a fruit bar and apple scone. Truly worth the detour. The brunch menu looks tasty as well. Atmosphere and staff were... More

Recommended by a friend. First time for us but staff and customers treated us like regulars. Excellent espresso. Lunch was New Mexican style with tacos, burritos, roasted red and green salsas. My beef tacos were great. Wife's Posole was excellent. She muttered several times how good it was. At least one groan of pleasure.

I used to visit Salto often, Love the atmosphere, location, size and coffee. Used to enjoy the food until they changed to their taco menu. I'm sure I'm probably the only person in america that doesn't like mexican food, but I haven't liked a thing I've tasted there since the menu changed so I dont go as frequently as I... More

Salto roasts their own coffee. Combine that with a really amazing staff and comfortable atmosphere, and they have the best coffee in town. My favorite is the latte, but I also really enjoy the regular "drip" coffee, which is made in a French press. You can enjoy your coffee inside, next to a giant fireplace, work at one of their... Driving through on a peak to peak afternoon. Off the main drag, wouldn't of found if not an explorer. Had no idea what to expect but the fire pit in the front courtyard was inviting. Happy hour specials 4 to6 good beer and apps, people's food looked good, tacos, mole, sides. Recommended if your going through town and want to... More

Great place. Larger than I ever thought. Nice selection of espresso and other drinks as well as baked goods that looked delicious. There is a photographer here showing his art and a live music group is about to begin playing. This is first Friday artwalk in Nederland but apparently Salto is the only merchant to display art now. They have... More
