Amazing place! Great traditional food, friendly staff and fantastic atmosphere! A place you should definately visit once in Chania. The way to Therisso from Chania is also a very impressive ride through a gorge. Don't miss it!

Excellent service, Authentic setting, and really, really excellent grilled lamb chops. Also really, really divine sausage. Bottom line, this place is meat, meat, meat, at the best price ever given that you'll be enjoying the best, probably in all of Greece. One cannot expect no...More
Calm and pleasant surroundings and very good food produced from the owners. Salads and cheese are delicious and fresh. Try the Antikristo lamp and grilled chicken chops. Very friendly people and fast service. The best choice when you want to avoid the center of Chania.
We really enjoyed our early dinner. All food was great, the staka was exceptional (delicious goat butter mixed with flour). This is a simple cretan place serving traditional dishes made of local meat (lamb and pork) and vegetables. Recommended!
The best staka cream we found on Crete, very good local meat and authentic Cretan cuisine. Hospitality was not to forget and we are pleased with all attention they gave to us. We could now say that we have been on Crete. Great find.
We visited Antartis Taverna and it was very nice and cool environment especially for the summer..A very nice table was waiting for us and the hospitality of the owners was very good.Do try the famous Cretan Antikristo that is slowly cooked with wood and stones...More

First of all, we don't charge any kind of water and specially tap water. We never did that before and we will not do it. The water is free here as much as you can drink! Second, we don't have salty cheese cake in our...More
The tavern is located in the traditional unspoiled village of Therisos, a place that takes you back in time. The host is so hospitable and humble yet he represents the true Cretan culture and spirit. He will welcome you a bottle of cold tsikoudia. The...More
Val and I are permanent residents here on Crete, in this village ! Proprietor Nikos, and family, personal friends. So my assessment some might think biased. Not a bit. There is such a choice of good quality Tavernas here, everybody has to be on their toes,...More
The dishes are traditional cretan and are pretty tasteful. However, the service is sometimes a little bit slow
