When you walk in, you sit down among only 4 tables. The same people running the Lodge are the ones cooking. When you eat at the Spruce Restaurant, you aren't just eating. You join their family for an hour and enjoy each other's company. By no means is this a quick place to eat, but I believe that is what... More

It was 40 minutes from the time we sat-down until the food arrived. Then, we had to go round up our own silverware and napkins. The food was ok but nothing special.

We drove from Creede to eat breakfast here. We had eaten here one time last year and enjoyed our breakfast. We had noted their opening time online as 7:30a.m. and arrived at 7:45am. The doors were open but dining room and kitchen lights were off and no one was around. Hotel guests were wanting to check out but no one... More

The wait staff were very friendly and personable. Homemade pie of many varieties. The portions are generous without being overwhelming. Good onion rings!

Okay, so not that many restaurants serve breakfast in town but it's still an excellent choice. Crispy, thick bacon, fluffy pancakes, eggs that are ACTUALLY cooked to order and cooked to order CORRECTLY! Strongly suggest getting a giant cinnamon roll with caramel and cream cheese icing to go ... for later!

No short cuts here. Your order is cooked after you order. Nothing is setting in the warmer waiting on you to get there. If you are in a hurry or impatient , may not be the place to go, it's not Denny's or I-Hop. Good food is always worth the wait.

We were excited to try Spruce Lodge Restaurant after all of the great reviews. However, we got there about 7:20 and the sign said they did not open until 7:30, so we stood outside and waited. By 7:45, they had never opened and a man came by and told us that they had not opened until 8:15 the day before.... More

Rob makes the best pancakes, biscuits, bacon, everything! All the food is top-notch, prepared fresh for each diner -- no microwave here! And Dee runs a friendly and efficient dining room. Don't miss this one!
