I've been trying to eat here for years- knew it was on the pricier side and never could make it to happy hour. Finally did- and should had made it a priority much sooner! We had lobster mac n cheese and the meatball- both were delicious! Next time we will definitely try the French onion soup and paella. Great portions,... More

The Tavern had been recommended by the locals as one of the best restaurants in the area. It is pricy but the food delicious. We shared mussels (a speciality) and Paella. Excellent choice.

The atmosphere was relaxed and rustic. We tried the antelope burger and the halibut. The food was good but not outstanding. No substitutions are allowed on the menu. I would recommend getting a reservation.

We were visiting the area and a local, highly recommended Tabernash Tavern to us. When you pay $40-50 for dinner the expectations are high and they missed the mark for all of us. We tried Dino's the next night and felt the food and experience overall was much better for the money. Wouldn't return to Tabernash, sorry

I took my wife and 18 year old son here last week at 6:00 and sat in the bar because we did not make reservations. The bacon steak app was excellent. My son had lamb and enjoyed it. The halibut and steak were very good as well. The bartender did a great job of taking care of us. Very nice... More

From the road, this place looks deceiving...and we probably would have driven right by without thinking to stop in. But what a mistake that would have been! All the locals we asked for dinner recommendations gave this place high praise - we agree! The menu was outstanding - many unique offerings. At our table we had the fried crabcake raviolis,... More

so we both ordered it. Lobster mac and cheese with Elk short ribs sounded good but a huge bowl of cheese sauce with chewy lobster (huge claws) was not appetizing. I think the elk was well prepared but I would avoid this dish. Ceasar dressing for salad was extremely spicy. Avoid that too. Not crazy about the deep fried crab... More

I love this tavern. You immediately feel at home in this cozy cross between a sports bar (TV and bar) and restaurant. I had the beet salad and the wild meatball, a huge meatball comprising antelope, elk, boar and venison. The food and wine were excellent and the staff were very welcoming. The others in my group also had an... More

We always eat here when cross-country skiing near Winter Park. We rent a cabin at one of the local resorts and then enjoy a fabulous meal at the Tavern. Very creative menu - try the Asian style calamari.

Haven't eaten there lately as it's price points are above my comfort level. Had house guests take us out and it is better then ever. I was torn between the paella which has been on the menu from the beginning and the halibut. Went with the halibut and The sauce was the star. My wife had the pork chop and... More
