Seated for 10+ mins before someone visited table - and he could only recite 3 water options. He could not take cocktail order. Lobster corn dogs = happiness ... but sub-par service dogged our whole meal. My husband loves "coffee & donuts" dessert.

Everything we ordered was excellent! The chef restaurant baked bread was divine along side the piled high shrimp, calamari appetizer and chopped salad. Calamari was so tender and delicious! We ordered the Colorado angus center house cut filet, which was cooked to perfection, with sides...More

We were looking for a special night out (anniversary) and aside from a weird seating policy, the night was GRAND! Impeccably delightful service, and upscale ambiance set the stage for a truly sumptuous evening. The octopus appetizer and aMAZing bread clued us into the delights...More

This has been one of the truly outstanding eateries for many years. We have now eaten here three times in about four months. Simply put, the food just doesn't measure up. One meal was substandard, and the other two were ok. We can only hope...More

We had dinner here, the Surf and Turf meal. While the steak was quite tasty, the lobster was rather bland. The portions were small, and while adequate, were not worth the over $50 a plate. The redeeming quality was the attentive and friendly staff.

Description
Once a grand saloon in the thriving mining camp of Telluride, The Cosmopolitan is now home to the fresh, innovative creations of Chad Scothorn, who has received national attention and praise for his original, fresh approach to food preparation. Serving dinner nightly, this elegantly simple 80 seat restaurant is located in the newly remodeled luxurious Hotel Columbia at the base of the Gondola. Known locally as "Cosmo", the custom cherry wood bar is the perfect place to unwind. In the summer, the west patio lounge is a refreshing outdoor dining experience.
