I had the Alaskan Crab legs at Russell's. They were literally the length of my elbow to my fingers and about as thick as my wrist. They were humongous and I never thought I could possibly be that full from just two crab legs!!! They were amazing and fresh to boot. The service was friendly and welcoming. The ambience makes... My husband and I ate here on our last night in Vail. He had the French onion soup and we both had the Steak Diane, the house specialty. His steak was cooked great but mine was very under cooked. Our waitress was great - very personable and fun. The atmosphere was really great on the creek. We went early so... More

We went with friends after a concert. We were seated promptly, nice table. Server was friendly and obviously trying hard but failed in 2 respects -- mixed up the steak orders and never offered dessert. The thing that detracted most for us was charging for refilling soft drinks. The steaks and caesar salad were good, the onion soup great. Overpriced... More

Very nice steakhouse right in the village, next to the creek. A very attentive staff and a nice view of the river and surrounding shops. They open up the large sliding windows in the main dinning area in summer for a beautiful evening outdoor atmosphere. Food was great, had the steak and wife had swordfish, both skillfully prepared and tasteful.... More

Great steaks and sides. The service is very good. Our waiter was very attentive to all of his tables, which included one very fussy, loud party with a young child. The restaurant is very crowded, attesting to its popularity, but the noise level is very high. It's best for large groups that may want to drink a lot and won't... More

We went to Russell's for dinner and had the best steaks. I was skeptical at first as all the steaks one the menu were listed with some kind of sauce, like Peppercorn or Bearnaise. Being from Texas I was taught if a steak has to have sauce on it, then the steak was not good quality but this restaurant taught... More

I visit Vail every year and always eat at Russell's. The food is excellent and the service attentive without being intrusive. What I particularly like is the ambience. There is a pleasant friendly atmosphere with a gentle buzz. What is thankfully missing are the over the top loud mouthed diners that shout at each other and spoil the occasion for... More

Russell's is a lovely place to have dinner in Vail Village. Our waiter Kent was super friendly, and provided excellent service. Several in our party had the prime rib, and they said it was delicious. I and another member of our party split a ribeye steak; very tasty as well. Kent made sure it was cut in half and that... More

This place is pretty well established, and it fills up after 6 pm. I had the French Onion soup and a spinach salad. That was enough for a meal. Both were very good. I found the prices were reasonable, especially for Vail, Had one cocktail with dinner. Total bill before tip: $31,00. My server was extremely helpful. If they sit... More

Description
Just across the Covered Bridge in Vail Village is Bridge Street's warm, cozy and oldest steak house - Russell's. We have a friendly, relaxing atmosphere with wonderful Creekside dining. Russell's features dry aged Certified Angus beef, along with delightful fish entrees and world-renowned Alaskan King Crab Legs. One side dish that you can't pass up is our scalloped potatoes - baked with onions, bacon and cheese with a golden brown top. A lot of our staff members have been with us for 20 years or more. Come by and see for yourself why the locals and staff love Russell's. We take great pride in serving premier steaks and seafood in the most enjoyable and accommodating restaurant in Vail. Reservations recommended.
