We have never had a bad meal here. It is always a "must" when we visit Vail. Wiener schnitzel is our favorite.

Pastries delight! We needed an afternoon fix and this was wonderful. The Sacher Torte tasted devine. Service was o.k. It seems to be hit or miss with that. At $8.50 a piece, it's fairly pricey, so nice service is expected, so too bad is was not top notch. Next time we'll get the pastries, pick up a Starbucks and sit... More

This is such a great restaurant. We have been to Vienna and eaten amazing food while there and we are able to get that same great food here in Vail. They also have a pastry chef that is absolutely amazing. We bought 4 different desserts to take with us and they were all delicious. Everything we ate for dinner was... More

Four of us enjoyed a great lunch in their outside seating area Labor Day weekend. Service was friendly and on task. Everything we had from soups, to salads, to sandwiches was fresh and prepared well. We also enjoyed their specialty.....delicious pastries and apple struddle at the Farmers Market on Sunday.

We had dinner here on an August Saturday evening. We found the food bland and heavy. The service was just OK as our waiter was also the bartender and he was more engaged in his conversation with the single patron at the bar than with taking care of our table. The experience was not memorable, nor was the food. Still,... More

Great atmosphere and service. The food is always wonderful and so is the bakery. I love the terrace during the summer and very cozy during the ski season.

Our food was just okay and barely passed as authentic German. The pastries however are superb. The food was secondary to the smart mouthed waiter. We sat outside in the sun for a drink and lunch. The waiter gave each of the four of us a food menu but one drink menu. The drink menu was extensive and we all... More

The service was okay. We ordered the Reuben Sandwich, it was not good, bread was soaked, it was greasy and the taste was really bad. It did not taste fresh. I would not go there again, it was too pricy for what you'll get.

I lived in Germany for two years and this place is a true Gasthaus. The beer selection was very limited. One Oktoberfest, one hefeweizen and 3 domestics. Good schnitzel, marginally good Jager sauce and some of the best Spaetzel I've ever had. The wait staff is hit or miss. We originally had a really nice waitress, but then got one... More

We love authentic German food and it's so close to Oktoberfest that obviously we had to drop in for lunch. We ordered the kasespaetzle with a brat, a slice of a brownie torte, a slice of apple strudel and a 16 oz German (obviously) beer for $60. As much as we love German food, we'll be taking our little family... More
