Stopped in for a quick lunch as passing through Danbury. Staff was friendly and helpful in making menu selections. Tried their buffet and wasn't disappointed. Currys, tandoori chicken, rice, naan bread, etc. Everything was good.

Because of my profession I travel to the UK quite often, at least 4 to 6 times a year. There is no matching British Fish and Chips with Mussy Peas in the USA but Royal Fish & Chips in Bethel Connecticut comes in with Stars and Stripes! It is by far the closest I've seen in the States that reminds... More

I found this place to be one of those "You want a Shawarma? - we make you shawarma, You want a gyro, we make you gyro" kinda places. So if something is not on the menu that you want, or if you remember some nice meal you had once while in the middle east, just ask. It won't surprise me... More

Primarily carry out but has small seating area. Great for a quick stop for a reasonably priced meal. Great middle eastern food (Halal) and/or fish & chips. Clean and always pleasant service. Located on Danbury-Newtown Road, in Bethel, CT (Old Route 6) which parallels I-84 between Exits 8 and 9. Going West, get off at Exit 9, turn left, go... More

Initially, I will admit, I would drive past many times- not really into fish & chips. Silly really - based on several recommendations from both friends and colleagues, I learned that not only was there so much more than fish and chips but the food is outstanding! Family owned and operated, it is obvious that great pride and care is... More

We enjoyed our fish and chips dinner. I like the fact you can choose the how many you want. The restaurant could use a sprucing up if they want to attract more customers. If we go back we will probably use take out.

This place is awesome. Fish, beef, falafel, chicken, you name it!! All freshly prepared and healthy. Reasonably priced and Sammy the owner is just a great guy and awesome basketball player! Don't miss out on this great little restaurant. It is a true gem!!!

Found myself, late one Wed. afternoon, in Connecticut. Rather than driving back thru NYC during rush hour, I decided to eat dinner and let the traffic wait. So, I checked out some websites and found several reviews touting "great fish and chips" at a small place called "Royal Fish and Chips and Mediterranean Grill" not too far away in Bethel,... More

My sister and brother-in-law, a married couple we're friends with, and my boyfriend and I ordered dinner from Royal Fish & Chips recently. While it was immediately apparent to us that this would not be an eat-in restaurant, we placed our orders and waited. Two extremely efficient chefs prepared our food. I ordered two large pieces of fish (no chips);... More
