We had a New Years' Eve dinner here and it is a very upscale restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very helpful.

Reviewed the Danbury restaurants in preparation for our trip to Ct. and Max 40 had an interesting menu. We had dinner there and it was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The Sesame Crusted Tuna with Soba Noodles and Vegetables on the side was one of the best meals I ever had. My partner ordered... More
Great place. Nice size, not too small. Good bar area. I had a 22oz Bone In Ribeye and it was perfect. Ate at the bar, enjoyed well mixed cocktails. Really nice Cesar salad as well.
Came here for late dinner and we're seated right away. Staff was knowledgeable regarding menu. We split the wedge salad which was good and a good size portion. Steak is their specialty and we both ordered it and weren't disappointed Both steaks were tender and juicy and good portion. Vegetable side was delicious. My only complaint about the place is... More
If you are looking for a place to conduct business or just stop in for a quiet meal in a very nicely done establishment this is the place

The best food in the State. If you go through Danbury or the Danbury Mall a must! I had the sea bass and my husband had steak. Great atmosphere - really sheik.

The rating is average because of the staff. The food is generally good albeit steamed vegetables should not be bathed in butter. The staff seems to just process you. Very superficial, high turn over causes many rank amateur service people behind the bar, where I always sit. I have been to Max's well over 50 times and have never been... More
