Went there fro lunch. Place was packed, mostly families and such. Ordered way too much food ( cheese steak, weiners, fries covered in bacon and cheese for 2 ). Food was great, but the waitress was BETTER. I am hard to please, and she went WAY out of her way to please us. Go there.

Great whiners that haven't changed in over 40 years. Had a great menu and everything is made fresh and the same family has owned it.

Don't get me wrong. Three Texas Hots and a chocolate malted (just the way you may remember, if you're a certain age...delivered in the stainless-steel mixer cup, always at least a glass and a half of pure deliciousness) is an amazing lunch or dinner. And, their homemade potato salad is beyond wonderful. But... Their eggs with their incredible homemade corned... More

Ice cream soda, fries and a hot dog any way you want it. Awesome. Don't let the name fool you. Great hot dog.

I agree with another reviewer. About 3 years ago, I returned to Danbury and visited JK's. The sauce on the weiners was DIFFERENT. I've been eating these since 1953, and the sauce was NOT THE SAME!!!!!!. They were still very tasty, but not like they had been for almost forever. This past year I returned again and the old taste... More

For a quick bite, breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place is conveniently located. Consistently good food. Note: when it's busy, the restaurant can be loud.

Took my mother in law to her favorite JK's for lunch. Our waitress took our order, we waiting about 20 minutes for hot dogs (really?). When she delivered our food, I placed an order 'to go' for my husband. We finished eating. We waited. We asked someone else for a refill on our coffee. We waited. No waitress, no bill,... More

I went with a meat eater so I all I got was a grilled cheese and curly fries. Both were fine but nothing outstanding. I would really recommend the grapenut custard, a flan-like dessert with nutty grapenut cereal inside. Get some whipped cream to make it sweeter. Friendly but overworked staff.

This place never dissapoints. The best hotdog in the state. Love the grape nut pudding. Coleslaw is great and the service is great

The other night I was in the mood for JK's hot weiners. We live in Stratford, JK's is in Danbury. I told my sweetheart let's go get something to eat. So I picked her up and we drove all the way to JK's, 30 miles away. I had to have my hot weiners, and my sweetie had hers. She asked... More
