Cafe Madeline never disappoints! The menu is always changing with a wide variety of daily specials and the food is very fresh. The service is great and will cater to your every whim.

Cafe Madeline is a wonderful dining option in downtown Fairfield as it rewards diners looking for something a little different with an array of creative plates prepared with extremely fresh ingredients. I'd describe the ambiance as a sort of bistro-lite with a pleasant al fresco experience available in season. It can get a little busy on the weekends but servers... More

We had an enjoyable dinner. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. They have a nice menu - appetizers, salads, soup, entrees- fish, chicken, beef, panini sandwiches, drinks, coffees and desserts. We started with a vegetable mozzarella appetizer. It was very tasty and fresh. For my main course I had the Chicken Speghetti Squash- a was a very generous serving- and... More

My wife and I had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and we came away disappointed. Typical red sauce pedestrian Fairfield Italian restaurant. 24 dollars for a dry Caesar salad and not home made tortellini with meat sauce. Wanted to like it ,sorry.

I've now eaten here maybe 6 times and each time was just as good as the ones before. This is not an overwhelming fancy-schmancy joint but while it's noisy enough that you don't have to be self conscious about your conversation it's not that loud that you can't, in fact, converse. I have never had anything but good food, the... More

We had a very enjoyable dinner. We ate here during Restaurant Week. It was a price fixed menu- 3 courses. My husband started with a tomato soup- very rich and tasty. I had the roasted vegetables with ricotta cheese(dollop)- very fresh and tasty. For my main course I had sauté chicken and vegetables- very flavorful and tasty. My husband had... More

Clean but very basic. No tablecloths. Service at lunch time was adequate. Food (we had sandwiches) was ok but not memorable. There are much better choices in Fairfield. I will not return.

We enjoyed our food (panini's, salad, soup). The menu choices were varied and creative--something for everyone. The food seemed expensive to me, but I haven't eaten out in Fairfield before, $17 for lunch might just be what it costs there. Our service was attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself was smaller than I expected (about three dozen seats inside, another... More

Had a nice lunch with a good friend. They bring dried out bread, maybe it's pita bread, and olive oil to start. My dish was over sauced. Initially they brought food that was intended for another table. It's a lovely place to go to have a leisurely lunch, but it's not the kind of place you go for the food.
