Nice restaurant from the Max Group. Stone fired pizzas great salads and other entrees. The main restaurant has booths and smaller tables for two. I don't like sitting at the small tables for two because you are so close to your neighbor that you almost bump elbows. The bar also has happy hour and has a better, more fun atmosphere.... More

My husband and I had dinner here Sarurday, March 12, 2016. I am not a fan of bench seating, but I understand the benefits. The problem was, the hostess brought us to our table, and the bench was covered with food crumbs. I had to wipe the seat as best I could before sitting down. When I sat down, it... More

I work close by so I go to Max Downtown at least monthly. I love the lunch selections & usually opt for the Toscana salad w/salmon. The balsamic dressing is some of the best I've ever had & the polenta croutons are to die for, and I never eat croutons! The rigatoni bolgnese is also excellent. I usually sit at... More

One of the several successful Max restaurants around Hartford. Always packed, good service and good food. Nothing unforgettable but reasonably priced and reliably good.

This was our first time at a Max restaurant. The restaurant was excellent. I liked the concept. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

Food was really good. Service was okay. Felt a bit rushed as if they needed us to hurry along so they could give our table to someone else. Prices were 25-40 per plate. The entrees were good sized, but most didn't come with sides, you had to pay extra for those. Had a good desert of creme brulee.

Over all a very good experience. Ordered the chicken parmesan and found it very well prepared with a very nicely flavored sauce. The service was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately I walked away stuffed as I do most of the time. I can't blame the restaurant for how much I eat but I do wish they would cut down on the... More

I was a little disappointed with this restaurant as they had limited choices (it seemed that they liked rigatoni and sausage here)...the calamari appetizer is one of the best I have ever had, and was large enough to split. Great bread, too.....
