The food, service, and atmosphere is very good. Not as expensive as Morton's or Capital Grille but equally as good.

JGilberts serves up consistently excellent food, service, and ambience. It is always top-notch in terms of attention to detail, from the reservation to the completion of the meal; the quality is unsurpassed in the area. There are so many favorites on the menu that we have had multiple times over the years - and then there are specials that you... More

J Gilbert's does not disappoint. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. Atmosphere is cozy, with a gas fireplace. Typical steakhouse vibe in a good way. Desserts are great. You will enjoy it.

We've had some outstanding meals at J. Gilbert's in the past, however this visit was not particularly up to the same standards. We made our reservations for earlier on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was packed. We were seated at our table and the first thing my wife and I noticed was the noise level was extremely loud. Our... More

This is our favorite go to place for that special event. Everything is always spot on. The service can't be beat and the meals are always perfect. The atmosphere is upscale but casual. Treat yourself you won't be disappointed.

This is quite a hot spot in town. Reservations are almost a "must" but you can sometimes get a small table in the bar area. Food is consistently good and service fast.

Good dinner but very expensive. Went for a birthday. The crab cakes are wonderful. Not sure it is worth the price overall but I suppose it isn't more expensive than most steak houses.

We go there quite often and the meals are consistently good along with the service. I highly recommend making reservations because there's always a wait. For us the best appetizer is the Maytag blue cheese chips. And I always love the fillet with the scallops. Never been disappointed.

I went there after reading reviews here on TripAdvisor and I must say, it did not disappoint! Was hard to make reservations for the time I wanted because of how busy the place I and I was running a little late because of traffic. We called to make them aware of our 5 minute late arrival and they just appreciated... More

Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Blue potato chips & chocolate velvet cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy dinner for two or host a large party.
