Some of the reviews have SO much venom in them they are either from competitors or just people who whine and complain about everything! The food and variety of food are excellent! I have NEVER had bad service.

Being the local 24 hour place if you're in the Mystic area, one might expect the food to be of the "you're lucky we're open" variety, but this is far from the case here. Portions are so large you can't possibly finish what is on your plate, and the food is delicious. As an example, my wife ordered a burger... More

After a day at the casino, we decided to grab a bite to eat at the Groton Townhouse before hitting I-95 for home. The place is spacious and serves up diner menu fare 24/7. Don't expect great service, and if you're seated in the corner booth, expect an annoying loud hum from above you (imagine white noise but turned up)... More

Their menu is huge, almost too much to pick from. The service is much better during the day than in the middle of the night. The food is nothing special but they'll pretty much make anything you want if you're a picky eater so that's cool.

This diner type atmosphere had good food and friendly service. I went back again the next day. Breakfast and lunch were both good.

After a short visit at Groton's Submarine base, we were looking for a simple place to eat. Menu is huge. Loads of items. Decoration is simple, service is ok. Food is rather good. Nothing fancy here. Plain American cuisine but fresh at least.

My wife and I had breakfast here. I had 2 fried eggs, hash, home fries and a corn muffin. My wife had a short stack of blueberry pancakes. The food was really good and endless coffee. Hint- if you are eligible ask for a Military discount. The bill before discount and tip was about $20. Can't beat that and they... More

The Groton Townhouse has been around a long time--but I don't understand why. It fancies itself as a family restaurant and sort of an all-night diner--and it does seem at times to attract large numbers of hungry people. But I find the parking lot an architectural nightmare, the menu takes longer than Moby Dick to read, the fare only so-so,... More
