This will be short and sweet. Their coffee is good. Omelet with smoked salmon, asparagus and feta cheese was delicious. Accompanying fruit salad fresh. Atmosphere reminiscent of a cafe in Paris. Price good.

The food is excellent but the staff not so much. Everything is fresh and delicious if you can overlook the attitude of the girl at the register. Quite a few of us stopped going because of this. Such a shame because love the food and the owner is wonderful.

We have had lunch there several times, taken out a picnic lunch as well. Food is so delicious; place is tiny but bright. Their catering is EXCELLENT as well!

This is a great little spot tucked away on Whitney Ave tucked away next to a used bookstore, Books and Company. It is a great little restaurant for brunch, as this is when they are usually open. It's a small cafe like place that does Sunday tea and has trays of delicious items on other days that are friendly to... More

Have been here several times for lunch and never been disappointed. The food is outstanding and the servers are very friendly. There are always several specials and also a regular menu. Many of the choices are French dishes. I am looking forward to trying a Sunday tea which is only held twice a month. The place is very small so... More

We've lived near this place a couple of years but never tried it, so we went in for Hamden Restaurant Week. A small place for sure, just 4 tables inside plus a few more outside. Everything was excellent! My Jerk Chicken was flavorful and spicy, and the Chicken Mushroom Crepes were delicious. Both my companion and I had the goat... More

Le Petit Gourmet is the perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. It was a rainy, gloomy day when we drove up to Le Petit Gourmet, wondering if we had made a sound choice as the restaurant did not have any curb appeal. The service was friendly and the food was outstanding. I had the Croque Monsieur... More

Love this restaurant! I'm a bit of a food snob and everything is always good. Especially love the weekend breakfasts. The bonus is the used bookstore that's fun to walk around in next door.

Starting in Cheshire we often cycle to West Rock, East Rock and stop at Le Petit Gourmet for lunch on the return. Great food, friendly service, indoor & outdoor seating. My favorites are the turkey sandwich & the black forest ham croissant.
