The remodeling of this establishment is stunning and with a fireplace included! I attended on 4 different occasions in the summer of 2016, sitting in the dining room area and the bar area. Each time my vegetarian/vegan apps or entrees were different and not what I expected. I had been a fan of this chef from when she resided at... More

There were 4 of us and we shared 4 starters. 2 Mains and a salad. All meals were fantastic. The stand outs were the Falafel Fritters and the fried Tofu. The deserts to die for !! Highly recommend you dine here.

My husband and I, with and without friends, have frequented Mockingbird several times since last winter. We have had good experiences each time, despite many reports of bad service and long wait times for meals from others. I have always defended the Mockingbird. Never again! We were there Friday, July 22, for a 6:30 reservation. Apparently, they had lost power... More

This was our fourth or fifth time visiting Mockingbird and we probably won't try again...the past three times they had run out of the special lamb, and tonight was the same. We were offered water four times before we got any, pretty much the same for bread. We ordered quickly, but it was forty minutes before our starters arrived. Water... More

Wish I would have listened to them. It was 80 degrees in dining room and I might be underestimating that. They were out of pear salad on menu so I got a beet salad that was $14 for 3 slices of golden beets and about 10 cubes of red beets. Some mixed greens and blue cheese... Good flavor but $14?... My first few times at Mockingbird were still trial runs. Happy to see the food has come up to "very good" standards and pleased that the restaurant was filled on a Friday night (albeit making for slow service, but understandable). Now, if they'd just move the bottle fridges sitting by the front door and put some energy into the entrance,... More

This was the first time I had been to the Mockingbird cafe. Seating was quick and I liked the room dividers. My wife and I had the chicken liver mouse and a salad both of which were very good and we both had the heritage pork chop with apple cider glaze, . We ordered them pork chops cooked differently and... More

I waited for a few months after your relocation to give you an opportunity to find your groove. I so wanted to love you, Mockingbird in Bantam. I'm hopeful that these setbacks are temporary and you get your wings back. The renovations are beautiful: well-planned and pretty. Due to the open space, some fabric (rugs/curtains) would help warm the place... More

Had dinner with friends last night. this was our fourth visit in 2 months. Our initial visit was very positive, good electricity, great food, service was a bit slow but we gave that to being newly opened and working out the kinks. However, each subsequent visit we walked away disappointed mostly with the quality of the food, last night being... More

We were finally able to get in to the New Mockingbird bar in Bantam,Ct We went early on a Saturday evening and found a great spot down at the corner of the bar. In that spot you could see everyone coming in for the evening. They had just started the fireplace so you could smell the excess smoke burning thru... More
