I've been to Altnaveigh several times now and each time is better than the last! There filet mignon melts in your mouth and all their veggies are soooo good & fresh!! If you're reading this because you're considering going...stop reading this, call them and make a reservation now, lol, I promise, you WON'T be disappointed!!! It's a little more $$... More

We liked the food, we liked the house, we weren't totally impressed. But, it's hard to put a finger on exactly what it was that we didn't prefer. Other people obviously love it, dress up for it, have their big events at it. I think it's the lack of currency. Very classic, close-ish tables in a 250+ yr old home.... More

This is not your typical "inn" restaurant. The food is innovative and the menu changes. The chef and owner loves his work and it shows. If you are looking for amazing food, go here. You will not be disappointed!

We celebrated my wife's birthday dinner last night at the Altnaveigh Restaurant. The entire evening was outstanding...starting with the cocktails...appetizer....entrée...dessert. Our server (Jennifer) was a complete professional. We thought that the night before New Years would be slow....wrong! The restaurant was filled to capacity. Being a local, we have dined here many times in the past. My only regret is... More

It didn't start off well, but after returning a 'dead' fruit salad, the three of us were quite pleased with our meals. The ambiance is lovely. I celebrated many family birthdays and anniversaries there in the past and look forward to doing so again in the spring for the outdoor seating is charming.

Finding a lost Gem Review of The Altnaveigh Inn Restaurant in Storrs Connecticut November 26, Thanksgiving 2015 I discovered the Altnaveigh Inn during Graduate School in the eighties. It had been ten years since my last visit to this historic Inn located in Storrs Connecticut. My last visit was a major disappointment. Shabby décor, food, and service. However, I had... More

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Prices moderate. Not too far from Henrietta House. Has outdoor seating and very close to UCONN.
