There are several seafood restaurants in Mystic. We wanted something intermediate : not too fancy, not too simple. Ancient Mariner is perfect. Food is great, very fresh. Service is quick and nice. You have family boxes with a fishing orientated decoration. And prices are decent. Very good address

A nice place on the Main Street parking is tough during our visit it was a busy day and while there were only two wait staff the attention was good but the entrees took a long time to get out. The menu was good and so was the pricing the food portions were good and so was the quality and... More

Stopped in to check place out for a drink and app after arriving in Mystic for an overnight. It;s right next to the bridge in heart of Mystic so probally busy in the summer. The interior of this place is nautical and very cool. We sat in small booth in the bar area, which was very warm and comfortable with... More

We live in the area and had gone to this restaurant years ago. Obviously we were unimpressed then since we hadn't been back. But this week or usual haunts were closed or crowded so we decided to try again. The stuffed flounder was overcooked and had little flavor. The chicken pot pie was huge with lots of chicken, but was... More

Stopped in for a drink and chicken wings around 9 PM. Wings were great and bartender very attentive. The reason for the average rating is that there were locals at bar and language was very offensive. We felt the bartender should have asked them to tone it down. Made for a very uncomfortable visit to a bar we have been... More

impromptu visit with the family while downtown...daughter wanted fish-n-chips and she was definitely happy with the dish here (I tried some of the fish as well...excellent). My wife and I enjoyed the Mariner Classic burgers and a Caesar salad...then I topped it off with the Mudd Pie and my daughter had the brownie sundae. We really had a nice dinner... More

Our son was here for the holidays so we decided on a walk through Stonington Village followed by lunch in Mystic! Beer, wine and Lobster Rolls! What could be better! The restaurant was quite busy and appeared to be short staffed, but I've got to give credit to our server, she was attentive and timely! Good experience all around! We'll... More

We ordered several items and they were all sweet and a bit bland. It was good that the food was not generally salty but at the same time it also should not be sweet. Servers are very friendly and responsive!
