This place is so atmosphere-centric! Loved every minute I spent there. They make sure all customers are part of their fun... our waitress (I believe Joanna) was beyond nice. She made the experience all the better. I can't wait to go back. I don't remember the name of the food, but it was some kind of meat over potato pancakes... More

Heard so much about this place and it has lived up to its reputation. GREAT food, homemade and plenty of it. Thank you ARLO, a friendly, kind, courteous and awesome waiter. Definitely a revisit!

The food, especially what they claim is German, is poor quality ingredients, poor preparation. For example, my pork loin was re-heated and served. The potato pancakes came barely cooked and soggy with oil. For the entire night, you have to put up with the childish yelling by the bar servers who try to get everyone else in the place to... More

The food - home style, German - is always excellent. The beer - in liter steins - is imported and wonderful. And the atmosphere has caused East Side to be nick named "Adult Disneyland". We always have fun here and it's always a good time. The food appears pricey, but they are actually 5 course meals of high quality.

This place makes good, mostly German-style food and serves lots of beer. The waitstaff wears traditional German garb, and they loudly announce every beer delivery to the table (large beers bring a rousing cheer from the entire dining room, smaller ones are gently ridiculed.) On a side note, I think the "Ticky-Tocky-Ticky-Tocky, OY OY OY!" should be saved for when... More

I ordered the roast pork loin an had to be one of the worst dishes I ever had there , it was so dried out , seems like it was left over for a week, the other person had a veal dish an that was also not very good , I hadn't been here for a while because I moved... More

I've been here a few times - I would highly recommend making a reservation - the place is always packed! Parking is tough - the lot is not very big so you usually have to park on the street. The atmosphere is fun! That's the main reason I keep returning. The food is good, not great. The prices are pretty... More

We'd been looking to go here for a while, and by coincidence, our friends booked us during Oktoberfest. So I'm not 100% sure our visit was representative. The atmosphere was fun though, and centered on the celebration of beer. Multiple choices ranging from what would constitute a normal beer anywhere else to a giant boot, or a flight. Or you... More
