Stopped here after shopping on the avenue and on our way to the Silvermine Gallery. Typical lunch fare: soups, salads and sandwiches. Food and service were very good but the flowers on the tables needed a refresh.

New ownership in past few years, ruined this restaurant! so sad. won't return. uninteresting food, no flavor salad not feesh, chicken dry, loud, hard surfaces, nothing cozy and inviting about place. dearly miss the old Gates.

The renovation to Gates makes it more modern and inviting. The menu however seems to offer the same predictable items. It may be popular with many people but it is not exciting.
Salads and burgers are really their highlight. So good that we hardly ever try anything else. Convenient to town, usually able to get a seat without any problem. Can be a bit loud on busy evenings. Never a bad meal
