We go here when the line is too long at Pepe's. Its great and it is owned by the same family. Pepe's is always fun,but this is just a good.

My friends and I have been going to Pepe's in New Haven since 1985. The Spot is just as good in my opinion, however; my buddies insist next door in the larger building is still better. None-the-less, the service is fast unlike the long lines next door and the pizza is scrumptious and very rarely to I ever leave any... More

I am from South Italy and I have been living in Napoli for almost 10years, so I am very picky about pizza... but this one was great. One of the best pizzas I ate here in United States!!!!

The line for the main restaurant was out the door and down the block, but a local advised me to just go next door to The Spot and order to go. Did that, and had my pie in about 20 minutes. Plus, I got to watch pizzas being made and going into and coming out of the oven. Mine was... More

I had heard about Pepe's a week ago when I was in Bristol. Now I understand why people from all over the state rave about this pizza. The Quatro frommagia is just awesome. Thin but super tasty crust with just enough sauce and cheese that makes it easy eat an entire pizza in one go (I left one slice as... More

We were back for university class reunion after many years. Frank Pepe pizza from stone ovens provide thin crust pizzas unlike anywhere else. Friendly service, great topping selections and that "Italian" ambiance were all that he remembered from years ago

Our pizzas were, as always, delicious. We had a variety, including something that our vegetarian guest could be happy with. The service was friendly, but in a way that was more than friendly. She looked like she was enjoying herself.

The Spot is the original although you can't go wrong at Frank Pepe's at the front of the street (or even at Mohegan Sun) always consistent for their taste and quality. Excellent service at the Spot. Friendly and they keep the pies coming and the tables turning. About 20 minute wait today- not bad for a beautiful warm early Fall... More

The Spot isn't open all the time, but if you happen to stop by when they are open then you should definitely top in. This is the original Pepe's location - check out the oven in the back left corner. The pizza is always terrific and the exposed brick is very cosy.

Super friendly service; casual place and solid pizza with local soda! Tips: If there's a wait at the original Frank Pepe, stop by the back Spot in the parking lot to see if there's a free table there! If can't decide on what type of pizza to get; no sweat, just go halfsies on a medium or large size. Skip... More
