Came here for lunch and ordered 2 10" hot dogs. One with Kraut and the other plain. Best tasting hot dog in the State!! The Chowder is very tasty as well!!

A must stop for the real long dog 10", 16" and 24" in all kinds of configurations. Fun place, great dogs, burgers and Philly cheese.Fifty's records are hung on the walls and the Man vs Food was there. They have a Big Dog challenge. Great place!

The food, staff and environment was absolutely amazing. I tried the 16" Dixie dog I give it five stars, my teenage son tried the Doogie burger of which he devoured, and last but not least my seven year old had a regular hot dog with ketchup he ate it all. My seven year old has never eaten an entire hot... More

I have been staying at the Holiday Inn a few doors down from this place and while I generally gravitate towards restaurants with bar service, the food is so good that I grab some wine from the liquor store and take the food back to the hotel. The burgers are just sublime, the only knock would be they are slightly... More

The food is really good here. But the atmosphere and people are better. Its a burger, hot dog and fried seafood place. If you go away hungry or angry - its your fault. And you can get a 2 ft hotdog here. Man vs Food visited here. And who cares who won. Its having fun that counts. You probably won't... More

Seems these days that it's tough to find a good hot dog; heck even a bad hot dog. It's like they have been phased out. But Doogies keeps delivering. I like a dog with relish mustard fries and a Diet Coke. All I've ever gotten all I will ever get. It's become like comfort food. My wife is a sucker... More

Doogie has become a Connecticut legend and has added Clam Digger to the name reflecting seafood items to the menu. However, hot dogs in 3 sizes and multiple varieties is Doogies claim to fame. Well, there is still the background 50 ' s rock and roll music and decor.

Big delicious dogs and excellent onion rings. Service is always excellent and price point is fair. Seating can get a little crowded but you know that going in.

The hot dog was good, but the philly cheese steak is the way to go! We had the sweet potato fries and onion rings and they were both cooked very well. The cole slaw needs to be redone. Flavorless and bland. Overall, a nice little place for lunch.

My steak and cheese with mushrooms and onions was delicious! Sweet Potato fries and onion ring were excellent also. The 10 inch hot dog with caramelized onion was okay, have had better dogs. Coleslaw was okay. Really like it and will come back to try other yummy sounding sandwiches. Oh and we got free drinks with the purchase of our... More
