We stopped by here for carry-out pastries to eat with the complementary coffee at an event we were attending. Wow! Fabulous pastries! We came back the next day too. Croissants, pain-au-chocolate, Danish--hard to say which was better! You can eat in if you want (place was packed with NY Times readers) when we came back Sunday morning) or if you... More

I feel like I am being horrible by giving them an average review because the owners are so nice, but I have tried their bread a few times and I haven't been that impressed. I'd love to buy good fresh bread as a special treat on weekends or for family functions, but nothing I have tried there has inspired me... More

If you're looking for some healthy, tasty breads for sandwiches and toast, their Summer Earth whole grain bread is quite tasty. They make it fresh daily. It has flax seed, raisins, whole grains etc. I don't feel guilty eating it. Bought a mix of their scones for a British Downton Abbey class and they are all tasty and not dry... More

I was uncertain whether to give three or four stars, and given it's Christmas I'm giving four. I recently moved to the area and I've been looking for good bread and good coffee. My bar is set very high. As comparison, when I lived in New York I used to get my bread at Sullivan Street and at Il Fornaretto... More

This quiet nook is well worth seeking out. I remember my first experience at Ross Bread some five years ago, when I arrived too late, some ten minutes after closing, desperate for a good olive bread to serve guests. I wasn't expecting it, but the shop clerk opened up just for me. Especially in the hectic holiday season, Ross proves... More

Unacceptable service. Stopped in one Saturday at lunch time and ordered a sandwich. The place had some customers but was not full. After 15 minutes, I inquired about more order. I was told it would be 5 more minutes because there had been "5 sandwiches ahead of mine". That would have been 3 minutes to make each sandwich but nothing... More

Their food is great, the staff are nice, but if you think you'll get a nice chai latte, forget it unless you are also in love with the flavor of dishwater. It's a bit squashed inside, but it's cozy.

Excellent local alternative to Starbucks (nearby). Great coffees and teas, and an ever-changing selection of baked items such as scones (ham and cheese is amazing), bread pudding, mini-quiches, and croissants. We also often grab some bread to go, which is fresh baked and availability also varies. We love their cheddar sourdough. They offer a small selection of breakfast and lunch... More

Ross' Bread has been a frequent stop for my daughter and I when we are in Ridgefield and a favorite for lunch until today. My daughter went in to order a sandwich and was told that they were working on a large order and they were not taking any more sandwich orders. If she wanted, she could have a croissant.... More

It takes forever to get a coffee made and it's always very disorganized when it comes to paying. The coffee isn't very good, and most of the breakfast food is over priced and average. They breads are very good, and definitely worth the effort to get a loaf when I'm shopping next door for my vegetables at the Organic market!
