We have been to Maple Tree on a number of occasions. The most recent was after a bike ride on a Sunday afternoon. We sat out on the deck and had drinks and apps. Very pleasant day and we were not disappointed

Was at the Maple Tree Cafe with a group of friends. Sat out on the deck for a couple of beers with a friend before everyone arrived. Good service and attentive waitress. We then went inside to join our friends. I had a cheese burger with swiss cheese and fries. The meal was very filling and very good. There was... More

We had some friends who live in Simsbury invite us to the Maple Tree for drinks. The place had a nice vibe and the staff friendly and effective. The drinks were good as well.

Completely hit or miss. This is my home town. I've been going in here since the 70's. Watched it go from a dive to an upscale bistro. I've had great times here, and I've had horrible times. My local friends always want to meet here, so that's why I go back. Last time was fantastic. We ordered tons of appetizers... More

I'm from out of town, so I'm not familiar with what other Simsbury night life is like. That being said, when I visited the Maple Tree in late December with my family members in a wedding party, I had the most fun I've had in a very long time. The food was good (reuben with sweet potato fries) the bar... More

We really wanted to see the Soul Sensations, so we called ahead to see if we needed to reserve a table. The girl on the phone said "no, there's not a lot of people in here tonight." That didn't sound very promising, and there were some bad reviews online, so we just went for drinks. Based on the bar service,... More

Years and years ago (like a couple of decades ago), this place used to be kind of a dive. That's changed completely. It's spacious, and features a selection of very high end options. However, the chowder was disappointing, and the food was just a little too aspirationally complex. I think there are folks that would absolutely love a salad with... More

Went for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good. The burger was fantastic, better even than Max Burger. Nice selection of sandwiches and entrees, and the prices are really reasonable. We were not aware there would be music, but the band was setting up so we stayed and that was great fun. I didn't... My husband and I dont get a night out very often. My daughter had an event and Simsbury, we had a few hours to kill and we thought we would go to the Maple Tree Cafe. We had a reservation. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the dining room had a few tables seated. The hostess sat... More

Hi Megann, I'm apologize your experience was less than optimal on the night you were our guest. On weekend nights the tables are often all reserved and pre planned so changing tables can be difficult but if the hostess was less than pleasant about explaining this I apologize. We always strive to make sure every guest enjoys their meal and... More

And, indeed, there must be new owners as the food has definitely changed for the better. We were there on a weeknight and the restaurant was about 20% full and our service was excellent and very attentive. I had the most wonderful salad I am still thinking about! It was the freshest greens with fresh figs and candied walnuts and... More
